Ok I wantto be prepared if I have to wait for Lee again today. Any ideas of what I could do? I can't usethe computer, there are no stores close, no restuarants close, and I am sitting in the truck. I have a couple books but I can't get into them. So, any ideas?

Maybe take up cross-stiching, I used to do a lot of that when we were traveling or something.

I do a lot of Sudoku and listening to books on cd. I also take along a couple of magazines if I think I'm going to be waiting for any length of time.

I've also recently gotten into cross-stitching, that can be quite a lot of fun, and addicting, and takes up time!

Try not to freeze to death? Just kidding, it's below zero here and I can't think about much but the cold.

I think it's fun to blow bubbles in traffic jams or when waiting in the car. Or talk on the phone. Or park somewhere you can watch people go by. Sometimes I try to imagine little stories about people who go by, or people flying overhead in airplanes (when I'm bored waiting like that).

Thats what I did yesterday. I was watching the trainees in formation getting in trouble for stuff. One guy had his tennis shoes stolen (they were in the sweats) so he wore his boots. THe drill sargeant saw him and yelled at him!
I don't know why that is funny but it is!

Can you use some of that time to get some exercise and take a walk???
Personally I would read either books, magazines or newspapers.
You should buy a portable DVD player and watch movies!!

Hmm, well I'm probably too late for this but I'll reply just the same. Cross stitching is an excellant way to take up time! What I prefer to do is take along my drawing pad and either draw whatever I see or work on some project...I take along my collection of permanent & semipermanent markers, drawing pads, pencils, straightedges...all sorts of stuff...in a big canvas bag or backpack and just catch up on creating something. Another great thing is to take along your digicam and snap away at anything...people, birds, buildings, cars!!! If you write at all, its also a good time to write down thoughts...

He didn't work late. But he found out he works until 4:30. Thats good cause now I don't have to rush and get him so he isn't sitting outside waiting on me. But I think I am going to get a good book or learn to cross stitch!
