This Thread's follow up

So remember when I said I thought some of my students took a shortcut???

Well, I discovered I was in the wrong. If I had read the book, I would have told them that it was wrong and made sure they understood the correct way.

So I just punished 5 students for doing this because the book told them to do this.

Well at least I know where they got the idea from.
Seriously...are any other teachers this disorganized??

Oops!
I have to admit, I was known to correct a teacher now and then for similar things....for some reason, as unfair as it is, students forget that teachers can also make mistakes!
I hope at least you feel better knowing your students are more honest than you had thought

Well I sneaked in the grade change and am quickly covering up by change the forms i had originally printed out.

I'll still talk to the class tonight, but only mention the grade change if someone mentions it

Yea, I do feel better knowing the read the book and that they aren't a bunch of sneaks.

OH yes, I was too in school (still sort of am), but I hate it when my students do it me!
At least I get to see both sides.
