bubbles is expecting

hi all
just to let you know that Bubbles is expecting we think the end of feb begining of march

Congratulations if you are hoping for a pregnancy!

And Welcome to TCS if I haven't said it before!

The mating was at the end of December I presume?

If you need help just shout out!

not completly sure when the mating was as she was staying with my morther in law for a while and she managed to escape while on heat
we are almost sure she is due about 3-4 weeks can't feel any movement yet so it is just a cse of playing the waiting game
when i have worked out how to post pic's i will pop on of her on here

How exciting! Just remember to keep her inside strictly from not until she weans the kittens and can be spayed. Don't let her out until then! Can't wait to see pictures!

Welcome Trudge....we definately do want you to keep her indoors only and even provide her with a room which is at least 2 doors away from the outside so there is no chance of a repeat escape (cats can get pregnant again as soon as a few days after giving birth). You will want to provide her with kitten food/litter and a birthing box all in that room.

Also, I would work with your vet to schedule her spay once her kittens have been weaned.

Trudge...I don't know if your other cats are spayed or not...but it is actually healthier for your cats to be spayed. You greatly lower the risks of cancers and pyometra so if the rest of your crew hasn't been spayed yet...I would recommend that you make an appt. to get them spayed.

torrie and chyna will be spayed as soon as they reach 6 months and bubbles is being spayed as soon as she has had her babies

Trudge..that is good to hear. Make sure you keep Torrie and Chyna safely indoors until their spay has occurred.

oh they are they have to get through two rooms and 2 very heavy fire doors before they can even smell the outside world
