I was wondering what all of you did to keep yourself looking nice?
(aside from exercise and eating right.) What do you use on your skin/hair/other parts to keep yourself looking beautiful? Once a week i give myself a strawberry facial masque and deep condition my hair. I'm also a stickler for sunscreen every day. I normally exfoliate every week as well so that i get rid of dead skin cells and my skin stays soft/smooth and moisturize afterwards. I normally try to keep my nails painted and in good condition too when i have time. I definitely enjoy doing girly things like that but rarely have time- lol i always wait till Colin goes to work to do that so that i don't scare him to death with my pink face and shower cap lol- i could only imagine his reaction
lol. What do you do to keep yourself looking nice as far as an at home beauty routine goes?

I'm hopeless with that kinda stuff!! I wash my hair with Head and Shoulders shampoo because my scalp kept getting dry and itchy, and condition with Pantene. I never wear make up, I don't bother with plucking/waxing my eyebrows - I used to occasionally, but they're so light, it's just not really worth it.

I've just started trying to put Oil of Olay moisturiser with sunscreen in it on a daily basis, but I'm lucky if I remember to do it a couple of times a week. DH bought me some expensive body stuff for christmas which I'm trying to use regularly. There's a hand scrub thingy that smells DIVINE and does wonders for my hands, some body butter, and a really nice facial peel thing, which I try to do once a week if I remember.

And that's it...

colin also keeps your same beauty routine- he even wears deoderant too!
/ I do have a funny story for you though- when Colin got a little burnt over the summer (Uhhh i could have chocked him for not wearing sunscreen- i am always putting it on us to prevent skin cancer) well...he peeled pretty bad...so i tried to teach him how to exfoliate.
You should have seen him in the shower trying to exfoliate his body
I swear it was all i could do to keep from dying laughing.

I shower and wash my hair every other day and I exfoliate every other day.
I use my Oil of Olay Age Defying moisturizer with sunblock and I stay out of the sun.

I do not blow dry, or use curling irons, not do I wear makeup often, and I avoid the sun when possible, so really, not much to do aside from staying clean and hydrated

Now that is just pure evil!
Hehe i like the way you think! It was sooo funny though! I was like "if you rub the exfoliating scrub in a circular motion it will help sloth off the peeling skin better- he was just so confused and out of his element
He wound up covering himself and my shower with my favorite body scrub
He smelled like Bath & Body Work's "Need a Margarita" for two days after that!
It took me forever to clean out the shower too when he was done! There was body scrub everywhere
lol....

Every two or three weeks I decide to shave my scraggly beard off. I'm too lazy to trim it.

With the wedding only months away, I'm trying to get better at the beauty stuff, but it's just not me
I never remember to moisturize and consequently, when I went for a facial last week for the first time in years, the beautician told me my skin was really dehydrated
Not surprising really. Still, I have 6 months to change that

not much really
I wash my face 2x a day because it is so oily, and then I can't use moisturizer for the same reason, oil slick city! but I do use undereye cream because I have horrible dark circles that never go away even if I sleep 12 hours
not really sure if the eye cream is making a difference or not
I use a facial scrub 2 or 3 times a week too. I don't do anything to my hair, save washing it and conditioning it every 3 day. Like Arlyn, I don't blow dry or curl it either, rarely use a product either. I am the anti-girl I swear

I wash and condition my hair then use anti frizz stuff as its curly, I leave it to dry naturally. I pluck my eyebrows (wax when feeling brave) and I use a special face wash for acne prone skin. I have got a pot of moisturiser on my dressing table but never use it. I also epilate my legs and under arms. There's also the facial hair bleaching... yes I will admit I do it and the hair dying to cover greys.

I shave/pluck my eyebrows (its easier for me to pluck when I'm angry
).

I wash my face twice a day.

I use shampoo and conditioner...if its dry out I use some oily serum as my hair frizzes (even though its not curly). I go to the hair salon every 2-3 months.

I get pedicures done in the spring, right before sandel season

Manicures every so often. Actually I need both right now.

In the wintertime I need to moisterize my face...and my body. Otherwise its dead-skin scaley city.

...I bathe daily. Really though, I am not a girly girl, I just dont like the idea of having to buy so much stuff for my own vanity, i'd rather buy cat stuff...lol!

People say im actually quite pretty, and I do admit some days I see it!

I actually keep my hair pretty natural in texture, I have gorgeous curls (the only thing I love!). I have light brown hair, but I color it blonde (when I remember!)

I pluck/wax/shave my eyebrows when someone comments, because usually I will not even notice.

When I was younger my aunt use to give me these big bottles of face creams, I believe it was Milk and something else. You'd apply a thin layer and it would slowly harden. When you took it off it left your face so smooth!

Hmm, I think im going to tell DH to get me some face stuff for Valentines, I need to start taking care of myself!

Oh i agree!!! It's soo much easier to wax/pluck or heck, even clean house when you have all that angry steam to work off
Colin can always tell when i'm upset or made because i will clean the entire house from top to bottom when i'm upset

No matter what I do my face is a mess....so I just work on damage control!
I use a deep cleanser (neutragena) in the shower, followed by a toner afterward and then spot treatment with a sacylic acid based product and then I moisturize afterward. My moisturizer is for oily skin with spf 15 in it too. I do use a mask every now and then but I have to be careful what I use. I notice when I do, my face will look worse for a few days and then get better. I'm guessing from drawing all the junk up. I also have a nice gentle exfoliator scrub for occasional use.

I have a sugar scrub for the rest of me when I bother to use it! It smells reallllllly good though. Then there is lotion and what not for the rest of me. I do keep my nails painted usually. If I'm up to it I'll do designs or paintings on them. I havn't felt like it in a while though. I like to do my toes too. I won't pay anyone to do that!

I think that inner beauty is the most important kind. Anything cosmetic is purely superficial.

I try not to ever lie, I do what I can to help others, I stay true to myself and my personal values, I love my friends and treat others as I would like to be treated.

That's pretty much MY daily beauty routine.

As far as personal hygiene goes, I shower regularly, moisturize with Nutrogena, wear deoderant and try to take care of my teeth as best I can.

I do not wear make-up, perfume, or "do" my hair, unless I'm putting it up in a ponytail or braid.

I really like the fact that I can wake up, get cleaned up, dressed, and be out the front door in less than 15 minutes.

Honey, I wish it were that easy on my end...although I think I'm a nice person, I prefer to NOT look like the back end of a horse's patoot, if you know what I'm sayin'.

For some of us, this beauty thing takes a bit of legwork!!!

Anyway, I get pedicures in the summer. I use a gentle moisturizing facial cleanser once a day to remove my makeup at night, a whitening toothpaste, and once every six months, I use those Crest Whitestrip things for my teeth...they work!!! I also wax my upper lip, and eyebrows once a month. I MOISTURIZE (well, at least my face) like a wild woman, as my skin tends to be REALLY dry...I need to be more faithful in using lotion on the rest of my dried up pruney carcass...oh, and shaving my legs and what have you more than once a week is something I need to work on...I hate shaving!!! My long hair gets trimmed once every couple of months, and I occassionally do a deep conditioning treatment here and there. I exfoliate once a week...that's mandatory. If I get bags under the eyes, I slice up a cucumber or freeze a spoon, and apply to the eyes or lids to give myself a little boost. And I'm kind of addicted to shower gel and shampoos/conditioners...I do have my small selection of "holy grails", but I'm willing to try anything.

I have showers.
I don't wear makeup and I don't do anything fancy to my hair. Although I do wear pitstick and keep my teeth nice.
