My male shorthair was neutered as soon as the vet judged him to have fully developed (about 9 months). He was raised with a female kitten and since that time we inherited two more females, all of which were spayed. He never displayed any untoward reaction to his "sister" or the oldest female, but the middle female has become the object of his desires. He has forcibly mated with her (very much against her will) several times. Has anyone out there ever heard of a male cat being able to mate even after neutering? Is there something we can do to stop him? The poor female has closeted herself in one room and is terrified of him. I've had a neutered male shorthair before and didn't have this problem.

Sateycat often starts kneading the bedcovers, and soon his backside will start twitching, and though he's never "humped" anything, if he gets happy enough, he'll lie down and start licking his genital area. He was spayed before 6 months of age, and he's never sprayed nor tried to really "hump" anything, just looks like he gets really really happy while kneading the blankets...
