I hope you guys don’t think that I am crazy. Last night I went to the barn mind you it is VERY cold -5 in Chicago I saw Twinkie's sister was not in the barn. (I board my horses at that place) I went to the Barn Owner’s house to see if she knew what happened to the kitten. Well, she ended up bringing her into her basement and put her in the cage (she doesn’t like cats in her house they all live outside). Apparently she hasn’t been eating and probably would not have survived the winter so she brought her in for the winter or until it gets better outside. That kitten is about 5-6 months old and so tiny. She was much bigger than Twinkie and now she is a ton smaller. My husband and I felt bad for the kitten sitting in the cage and not being fed good food (she buys cheap cat food) so we have decided to take her home. I brought her home last night, gave her a flee bath, food and got her situated in a room where she will reside by herself for a little while until we get her de-warmed and get her all the shots she needs. She is so very sweet and with her it makes our cat family of 4 plus 2 big dogs. I am not sure what to expect from 4 kittens and if they will accept Twinkie sister. I cannot tell you how little that kitten is but so cute and so affectionate. She won’t leave my side when I am with her and she likes to be carried around everywhere. I am just a sucker for kittens in this situation but I really cannot have this many animals. What’s interesting I have never owned a cat in my entire life and went from never liking them to now in love with them and having 4 kittens at the same time. Before I picked up Twinkie those two kittens were insuperable. Twinkie sister called for Twinkie for days and I felt so bad but I had to take her home or she would have died there. Do you think those two will get along again? Will they remember each other? Now do you all think I am crazy for taking another one in?

Also I need help with the name I am out of resources of names. I have Gizmo who I call Gizzie, Marbles, Twinkie and not sure what to call this one. She is all gray/back (blue Tabby) with no white at all and she has longer hair then the rest of the kittens. I have two boys that are about 8 months old and one girl Twinkie who is around 6 months old just like this little Twinkie’s sister. I don’t have any pictures of her yet but I can get them posted if that will help with the name. Any idea’s what I can call her?

Hmm, I don't think anyone here will think you crazy for rescuing another poor kitty! I'm sure that Twinkie will remember her sister and she'll be so much better off with you.

Haha! I don't admit this often, but I never thought I'd have a cat. I love all animals, but I was a bird person. It was only when my last budgie died after a rodent attack
that I let Nate convince me that we had to get a cat, because the scent of the cat would get the mice out of our flat (huge infestation we had). Radar was my first ever and I love him so much (he's also a great mouser!) and I am now hooked on cats and we now have another kitten as well. Driving us both mad with his 6am antics but also very loved and wanted addition to our household.

If anyone had said to me a year ago that by this time I would have 2 cats I would have laughed at the suggestion. I think they are addictive, is there such a thing as 'cataholics anonymous'? If not there should be

I have no great ideas about names, it took ages to come up with names for our latest addition, but I bet the wee thing is gorgeous

You definitely did the right thing, thank you. I'm sure you know there is a winter advisory warning for Chicago until later in the day tomorrow. With regards to a name, how about Regina - Reggie for short or Kismet since it was fate that you brought her in out of the cold.

Lucky you with all those kittens! As you did such a good job with Twinkie, it sounds like you're a great mom. I looked at some of your posted photos from a few weeks ago. What sweeties you have. Is Twinkie still waking you up early?

Bless your heart, there's nothing crazy about you! A big pat on the back for rescuing this little sweetie. Don't worry about picking a name for her; the right one will come to you. (altho' with a sister named Twinkie, maybe your new baby should be called Suzy-Q or Cupcake
)

yay! Thank you for saving this little one

And no, you are not crazy
you just have a soft spot for prescious, helpless little babies

As for names (these are the best I can come up with without seeing her):
- Sissy
- Mary Belle
- Bambi

- Lacey

Can't wait to see pics

Thank you guys so much for your responses and not thinking that I am nuts.
The little one is doing really good finally started to eat a little better. I feel like I have to sit with her in order for her to eat enough where I think she might be full. I am having my husband take her to the vet today to get her de-warmed and give her the shots. I cannot wait to get them all introduced and see if Twinkie remembers her sister who at once was a big sister to her.

And yes Twinkie still wakes me up early but I have learned to ignore her so she goes away after awhile. I think she has become jealous of Marbles. He sleeps right next to me every day and so now she started walking all over him too. He doesn't do anything to her just moves to another place to sleep.

As for the names... I cannot call a kitten Regina it's actually my name.
So it must be something else. I want to call her something that goes with Twinkie. I will get pictures of her this week and post them for you guys. That should help with the name.

I don't know how to do this but I want to try to convince my Barn Owner to spay her female cats. I can even pitch in to pay for this and maybe even have a fund going at the barn where all the boarders collect some money for those cats to get fixed. She can leave male cats in tact but female once need to get fixed. I am tired of watching those little guys being run over by a car, coyotes eating them, getting sick and dying. She has literally 7 litters at once during spring time. I have arranged Gizmo sister to be adopted, had someone else take a kitten home but there is only so many people that can take a kitten home and there are way too many of them born each year. I have already asked her if she would fix her cats and she won't do it.
Twinkie had 4 samplings in the litter and we have no idea what happened to the two of them and there were only two left Twinkie and her sister who I have now. Gizmoâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s family had three in the litter, two I have and one I had my friend take home. Thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s only two litters now there was total of 7 and I have no idea where the rest of them are. I do see a lot of cats with respiratory problem but some of them are too wiled to catch to give medicine to. I used to feel sorry but never even thought about them as much as I do now that I am kittyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s mom. Now not only do I feel sorry I want to be able to do something about it. I mean how many kittens can you possible adopt? “sighâ€

There's a loaded question.
I thought I was at my limit with 4 and now I have Neffie. They were going to take her to the shelter and I knew noone would adopt her so I took her home. She was living in a basement and never was social. She hated the dogs and the people equally But now she's right at home with our cats, still getting used to them but she's becoming queen of the house!

You could always just take the cats without her knowing and get them fixed, get their stiches out and then return them.

name ideas:
Sparkle
Starburst (goes with the candy bar Twinkie theme, Star for short)
Stardust
Periwinkle (wink for short...may be confusing with Twinkie)
Twinkle (...may be confusing with Twinkie)
Mitten
Sage
Clover
Cupcake
Muffin
Acorn (if she's small)
Nut (simple, but cute for a little one!)
Pebble
Button
Snippit

Why don't you start a girl kitten name thread to get some more ideas?
