Hey, I had some chicken wings, and then went to get something to drink, when I came back, my cat had something in his mouth, and I assumed it was a bone, I went over to try and get it from him, but then I think he swallowed it whole, he didn't crunch it up or anything, just the whole bone, is there anything I need to worry about?

If you think this is what happened you should see your vet. Chicken bones splinter so can be dangerous. Same goes for pork bones. Beef bones don't splinter and arent as dangerous (Well if they were big, a cat could choke). I know this from my friend who is a dog owner.

I would call the emergency vet or something and see what they say. Then take your angel in tomorrow! How are things today?

He didn't even seem to notice, tried to get another bone, but I tossed em out right away, and then he went to sleep, drank some water, and has been acting exactly like he always does.

Yikes! Cooked chicken bones do splinter and I would be very concerned about your cat. Call your vet for advice and keep a very close eye in the meantime. The bone might have made it past the throat, but if its splintered, could rupture something in the digestive tract. My guess is that you will need xrays to see if and how it is passing thru their system.

When I was a young girl, we lost a cat to a splintered chicken bone. It can happen and you need to take this very seriously.

I agree - call your vet and ask their advice about whether he needs to be seen, what signs you should watch out for etc.
