Hi all,

Found this site as I was attempting to do some research on behalf of my baby who is currently on overnight monitoring at the emergency vet here in Melbourne, Australia.

I've always had pets, at least one cat, throughout my life, I'm 35 now and don't know what it would be like without a cat co-ruling my house.

I have had a stint at vet nursing in New Zealand for a year before I decided it wasn't for me... so I have the qualifications, but not the memory of the learning I had (yes, it was a long long time ago).

Umm.. hmm.. oh yes, my baby. She's 16 years old in around a week and a half, I rescued her as a two week old kitten with her littermates and she's the only one left out of that litter, the other two were euthanised within one month of the rescue
Lone is a grey/white dsh but I wouldn't have her any other way.

She's been the light in my life since she was born. She may be 16 (76 in human terms) but she's as active as a 3 or 5 year old cat, the vet even thought she was that young the first time she was seen by them.

So anyway, I'm here out of mutual interest, curiousity and hope.

i can't see your photo either. If you haven't already, check out the thread in the new cats on the block forum called "threads for newbies". There's a thread about "how to post photos".

Welcome, Lone and KittE:

to TheCatSite and know that our prayers and good thoughts are going out for Lone. We are all rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered felines here, and our eldest, Nicolas T. Cat, is going on 17 years young. Sure hope we hear some wonderful news about Lone on the forums soon; hope you enjoy it here, and hope you're successful at posting photo(s) as we love them here, and we agree -- domestic shorthairs are the greatest!

tanks you all 8)

yeah, I read that thread and then tried different things, I don't think my homepage allows it which is maybe why you're unable to see the piccies...

I'll try put some in the photos area later after I try work out what the issue is lol

Welcome to the site
I hope your baby is feeling better soon.

Many members here use Photobucket to link their images. I am not sure if this is something you would be interested in, but there's no cost involved.

Hi and welcome to TCS!
I wish you had come here under better circumstances, and that your baby girl wasn't ill.
Any updates?
