Hi all,
Found this site as I was attempting to do some research on behalf of my baby who is currently on overnight monitoring at the emergency vet here in Melbourne, Australia.
I've always had pets, at least one cat, throughout my life, I'm 35 now and don't know what it would be like without a cat co-ruling my house.
I have had a stint at vet nursing in New Zealand for a year before I decided it wasn't for me... so I have the qualifications, but not the memory of the learning I had (yes, it was a long long time ago).
Umm.. hmm.. oh yes, my baby. She's 16 years old in around a week and a half, I rescued her as a two week old kitten with her littermates and she's the only one left out of that litter, the other two were euthanised within one month of the rescue
She's been the light in my life since she was born. She may be 16 (76 in human terms) but she's as active as a 3 or 5 year old cat, the vet even thought she was that young the first time she was seen by them.
So anyway, I'm here out of mutual interest, curiousity and hope.
