4 measly degrees.

It is so cold that we went to Ann Sather this morning at 10 and didn't have to wait for a table.

It is so cold that I have to wear sunglasses, otherwise the -20 windchill burns my eyes.

It's one of those days when your tears and saliva freeze seconds after leaving their respective orificies.

And it is also so cold that instead of practicing yesterday (which would have required me to leave the building) I sat in the computer lab with my best friend watching random things on YouTube...for 2 hours.

Thank goodness I have a heavy-duty jacket! You know it's bad when the weather people use terms like "exposure time"

Anyone else having this weather?? Stay warm!
Yeah, I ran some errands this morning and in the time it took to run into walgreens (about 100 feet from my car) my snot had frozen in my nose.

FREAKIN AWESOME.

The high for tomorrow is 0. The wind chill is what's really bad. When I went to work on my car this morning I had 3 layers of clothes on & then I was warm enough.

It was in the teens-20's this week in Memphis. We had snow two days this week
I was excited! We NEVER get much snow- just ice
Right now it's probably somewhere in the 40's i think but i'm not definite. Stay warm everyone

It's supposed to be worse the next few days from what I hear. UGH! Is is over yet?

I lived up there for 30 years. We call that weather snot-freezing-cold. We were down to 6 this morning and it got to a balmy 20 today. Snow tonight and colder tomorrow.

I remember the day when it hit -24F with a -84F wind chill. We moved that weekend. Wind chill is another interesting term.

But tomorrow the Bears stomp the Colts, so all will be warmer up in Chi-town!!

Being a DePaul student, I more or less OD'd on Clarke's in the past 3 years....time for a break!

Although, Clarke's waffles are pretty much the 8th wonder of the world.

I think Roscoe's has better sandwiches than Ann Sather's and Clarke's.

Y'know, I don't think I've ever actually had food at Roscoe's...just copius amounts of cocktails...
I'll have to try that! My fiance used to live at Roscoe and Halsted, but he's up in Andersonville now (I'm stuck in Lincoln Park...) I DEFINITELY like Kopi for sandwiches...and it's always like 10,000 degress in that place, so it would be a good place to hang out tonight!

I've only had a sandwich there once or twice but I didn't really care for Ann Sather's or Clarke's. Though that could have had to do with the events that were going on those nights, too.

It's in the low single digits here, and with 30 mph sustained winds, the windchill is hitting -20F. And since we've had a mild winter so far, we're getting lots of lake-effect snow. I'm staying in as much as possible and turning up the heat...

Gosh its only -7F now with a wind chill of -30F!!!
The state of Wisconsin issued a health advisory for this weekend due to the cold weather. One local TV station mentioned if windchills go to -35F the Green Bay schools will be closed. As I am in a rural area the wind chills will not have to get that low to cancel school. The weather is very hard on the school buses.
And of course we have just under 1/2 tank of gas so I will have to go out tomorrow and fill my vehicle up at least (and get milk at the store!!) I'll wait until we reach our high of -3F first!!
The family room with the stove is a toasty 70F the rest of the house is several degrees cooler!!
