As you know, my cat Emily passed away last week from heart failure.
With the possibility of it being genetic, I had to get her sister, Cubby tested to see if she was at risk. Today we did an echocardiogram with a specialist, and as of right now, she is 100% healthy!
There is always a possibility of it happening in the future, but there are no signs right now in her heart. One weird thing we are looking into, from the pathology report done on Emily, they mildly suspect toxoplasmosis as being one of the causes....so I am having Cubby tested for that now. It's a very low probability because everyone's indoors but since I did trap Bob and Timmy 2 years ago, we need to be sure so everyone can be treated if it's there. Just wanted to share Cubby's good news with you all!
