Last night at about Midnight I heard a loud noise. I went out to find Limerick playing with, what I thought was one of his toy mice. Thats when I heard the horrified squeeks of a mouse, a real mouse. Limerick caught a mouse a real live mouse, my Limerick Mr. "I'm Afriad of My Own Shadow" Limerick, caught a mouse!!! He brought it upstairs to my bedroom door, still alive. While I distracted Limerick long enough for the mouse to make a limpping dash to the bathroom, with Limerick in hot persuit. I went and grabbed a cup to trap it with, but when Ireturned I found Limerick digging in a corner and no mouse to be found anywhere. I searched the bathroom and my room and the hallway closets, but no mouse. Poor Limerick gave me the sadest face. It felt so bad! But yet the mouse is still on the loose. I am so proud of my boy!!

Luckyyy...

I have 3 cats, and a mouse in my house, at least one, maybe two.. My big ol babies, won't even try to catch the mouse.. I wish they would!!!

As pathetic as this is.. I had to put traps up.. Even though I have 3 cats!!

Yay Limerick!!
Now let's hope he finds out where that mouse went so you don't have it running around the house!

Of course we want him to find it when you are home so that you can hopefully save it from too much torture.

But Limerick did not strike me as a "mouser". He is scared of EVERYTHING!! I thought he was going to take one look at it and run!

We had to put up traps recently under our stove (traps were useless though). Our boys were definitely interested in helping out and catching the mice for us, we just didn't want them getting germs and tormenting the poor mice.

I had the same reaction when Wonton caught a mouse - Wonton is a bit tubby, and his favorite thing to do is sleep on a lap - I really didn't expect him to catch a mouse...he's caught at killed at least three since we've had him, and I've rescued three more. Maybe he felt the need to prove his manliness to me, cos I always call him my "baby"
