Catnip bubbles? Anyone heard of these? Just saw them on the Petco site. Could be fun...

Hehe it's like soap bubbles, except non-toxic, probably with catnip oil or something. I'll get some tomorrow and let ya know. Gotta go to petco anyway. Heh, our kitts got into a bag of tea, must have thought it was catnip.I've never actually seen what happens when cats eat catnip. I've heard it's bad for kittens?

Catnip bubbles are made from pure extract of the oils in catnip. My cats don't really like bubbles but my friends cats go crazy for them. If you do decide to buy some, Kookamunga Catnip has the most potent bubbles. Catnip isn't bad for kittens, kittens usually don't respond to catnip until they're about 4 months of age. If you don't introduce catnip at kittenhood, some cats never respond to it. Some eat it, some roll in it and some just plain sniff it. Catnip makes some cats frisky, others lazy. The effect lasts for 6 minutes and takes at least 2 hours to get the effects back again. My cat Peppurr lives for catnip. I bought him catnip buds and he kicked the crap out of his scratching post. He tries to climb the walls and does the "Mad Dash" around the house. Catnip can make your cat even more entertaining. Make sure you give your cats a little bit at a time...it's all they need to go wacko, or lazy! Anyway, good luck!!!

I tried some of the Kookamunga Catnip but Corky was not at all interested. I also found it was very hard to actually acheive the bubbles.

Saying that neither of them like any of the toys I buy them,( I have a small shopping obssession once a month
) apart from ping pong balls and the cat dancer. So I normally end up donating them to other peoples cats.

Marie! Mine too! I see the cutest little toys, and my cats have zero interest. I have given away more good stuff! Mine get more excited when the bag that it came in gets left on the floor!

Ditto for Jedi!
Most of the toys I have bought for him go untouched (except his woobie of course
). His woobie is the very first toy I bought for him the day we picked him up. It's a rabbit's foot with ribbon streamers attached to the end and the foot is attached to a pole by elastic string.

The poor thing is in tatters and has long since been unattached to the pole!

I have bought others of these for him, and he likes them, but he always goes back to the woobie. So now he gets paper bags, cardboard boxes from 12-packs of soda or beer and the clear plastic caps from sport bottles of water. Those are his fave!!

Saves me money and having to find someone to take his "other" toys!

Unfortuantly I can't stop buying them toys even though I know the chances are they won't like them. Although they better like their new cat tower when it arrives as that cost me a fortune.

I think I will start collecting all the toys they don't like and donate them to the cats protection league (where I got corky from) as they are always looking for toys to give to the foster mums.

Has anyone brought the Cat Spa? I got that for them and they ran off from it

Catnip bubbles sound really interesting! Snowball likes all the toys I buy for him while they are new, once the catnip smell wears off he loses interest.

Well, this isn't the Cat Spa but...
Snowball ran away from his interactive pyrmid toy when I first got it for him too. He couldn't understand what that noisy thing was, plus he couldn't see the long strands of clear plastic moving around. My son painted the plastic strands with non-toxic paint, and it really made a big difference. Now the pyrmid toy is one of Snowball's all-time favorites, and he's even learned that he can turn the toy on by making scratching movements with his feet directly in front of it.

I have the same problem. They don't like most of the toys. They love the feathers on a stick, or the feathers on a string, though. Balls they could care less about. We got one of those "Weasel ball" things, they like it when it's off, but aren't quite sure what to do with it when it's on. I just picked up a couple one-story kitty condo's, they ignored it the first night, but were playing on/in them last night. Heh, got a "rustle tube" which they ignore (cloth tube that sounds like a plastic bag)

I just bought the Cat Spa a couple of week ago and my cats love it. If you're cat likes catnip they should use it. I put catnip buds in the part with the gum stimulator and they chomp on it. Peppurr rubs his face everywhere!

Both of mine LOVE bubbles! I haven't tried catnip bubbles yet. I found that mine like the little bubbles as well or better than the "regular" sized ones. The little ones that come as necklaces or wedding favors - those are the ones they like. The good part is that the carpet doesn't get as wet, the bad part is trying to refill the little bottle from the big one! The really bad part, as far as Trent is concerned, is that he has to get a good brushing after we play with bubbles.

Got the bubbles, kittens just look at them, occasionally sniff one... after it's landed. So much for that idea. Also got some dried catnip, they weren't interested. Mixed it with wet food, they ate it, but no effect. Guess they're still too young.
