Addicted to.....

Chapstick! Yep I am admitting it now. I have a tube on my desk at work, two tubes in my purse, a tube on my night stnad, and a tube in the car and one in the truck. I keep it everywhere. I apply atleast 20 times a day. I can't live without it. Anyone else?

I am addicted to chap stick.

I have a tube in my purse, in my car, in my desk, one in the kitchen drawer, and one in the bathroom, oh and one in my desk drawer at home as well

I never understood this

Every time I've used the stuff, it only made my lips more chapped

OMG, I am so with you on this..I have one in my desk at work, 3 in my purse, 1 at my desk at home, 1 on my bedside table, and 1 in my bathroom cabinet Oh, and one in my gymbag too..

Actually now that you mentioned it, my lips are dry...

I try to avoid chapstick. Someone once told me that your lips can become dependant on it not sure if there is any truth to that though

I like Carmex better than chapstick, smells kinda mentholy, but really soothes your lips

I use a little less in the summer but not much. Oh and I used to have this cool little thing hooked on my purse that I could just slide my tube of Chapstick in. Easy access. It got all streched out and I lost a tube that way so i had to toss it out!

I am addicted to softlips. I am so mad that they got rid of the mint flavor. I am adjusting to the raspberry one. I always have one on me. I will not leave without it.

I use that too sometimes the vanilla is good too! I am addicted to the menthalip shine from Bath and Body.

I love lip stuff in general. My current favorites include Mary Kay's lip balm (part of the soft lips set) and Blistex Lip Infusion (w/ the roller ball). I have them all over though and if you include regular glosses then the number goes up even more. I have 2-4 in my purse, several on my coffee table and one MK balm on my night stand.

It's a specific ingredient (can't remember which) but I know it is in carmex. What ever it is is something that your lips produce on their own and by applyig it externally on a regular basis your lips stop producing it.

I've heard that too. I also read that petroleum jelly that is in most lip balms dries out the lips - it's an effective barrier so will protect lips against wind etc. but frequent use apparently dries out the lips? That makes sense to me as I'm addicted to the stuff too and dont go anywhere without it and my lips feel dry most of the time. I don't remember being like this when I was younger though - when I was in my teens and early 20's I didnt' carry the stuff around with me everywhere.

My favourite is the chocolate one from Lush

Ooo! I like the Burt's Bees lip shimmer. I just discovered it. The stuff lasts a while too, I'm only have to apply it about 5 times a day.

I tried that Softlips, but I went through it in a week. I think there is methol in it or something. Methol actually dries rather than moisturizes.

Your thread made me realize I need to put some on!

I have two tubes in my desk, one in my purse, one in my coat, two tubes in the car... and that's just within walking distance of where I am right now (work). I guess I'm addicted too!

I didn't realize so many people are addicted to it! Makes me feel a little better about it!

That's true, actually. We learned about it in chemistry class a couple years ago. One of the ingredients actually causes the lips to become dependent on it, so that your lips will dry out easier.

I recommend a Vitamin E stick instead.

I thought I was the only one!! I always have a tube in my pocket, one in my purse, two in the car(the tube int he glove box is a backup), two on my nightstand, several on the counters, & I've even got a tube by the computer!

I dont wear it unless my lips are all screwed and this is the perfect weather for it!

Also when ever I have a bf they hate me wearing lip gloss so i will just use a pencil to colour my lips! If i am out with my girlfriends i wear my shiny colourful lipglosses!

I too am addicted to chapstick!! I love softlips, its awesome!! I always have a stick on me, if I don't I feel naked!!
