Well, it's day 4 and Neffie is out and about exploring the house with Rocket, Isis and Luna watching her and so far, no major blow ups. It's pretty quiet except for the occassional growl or hiss but nothing bad. Twig is locked in the bedroom and I feel horrible for that but I think it's for the best right now, he'd just stir up things and I think if she can become one of the pack under the three, then Twig might not be so "dominance crazy" I guess would be a good thing to call him. He's really angry and out to get her, I think he's just wanting to show his dominance and since he can't get to her, he's taking his anger out on Rocket and the other cats. (Mostly Rocket.) Fortunately he's only bitten me no cats.
So I hope if I can get the other three cats to accept her, then Twig's intro's will go smoother.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
My answer when I read the thread title was "cat craziness"! Actually, it sounds like you've got things a bit more under control.
Seems like a good idea - poor Twig. But I really hope it works!!!!!!!!!!!

Hon, I'm surprised it's not crazy around here. It's actually pretty normal. I feel bad for Twig also but I think this is the best way to introduce her into the pack.
I know it's fast but she's been trying to escape her room so I wanted to work on getting her intergreted asap so if she does get out nothing will happen to her. Now I just need to get Twig to accept her and things will be great and things can get back to normal.

Update: Twig is out and Rocket is locked up(I didn't want him to fight with Rocket) SO far no fights. I wonder if I was just worrying for nothing. But it's only been a few minutes so we'll see. Ok Brad let Rocket out so they are all out and wandering the house. Neffie is in the computer room and the other cats are in the livingroom and kitchen. They have free run of all the rooms. So far they are all avoiding each other. Neffie is avoiding Twig like the plague. I hope there are no cat fights tonight. I want this to go smoothly. Please send vibes that this goes well and nothing bad happens.

That is wonderful that things are calm. Hopefully they will stay that way. I agree that the vanilla seems to work.
Here's get along and calming vibes coming your way.

Well, we had Neffie out all night last night and no real fights so far, and Brad had her out since he got home today. I just opened the door to the basement and she's exploring it and I"m more nervous about that then about what I'm about to go through. I just hope she doesn't get stuck somewhere or get hurt, I hate just having to sit back and watch, it's terrible. I guess she's out of her room for good now, she raised a ruckus when I locked her up to go to work today. So I guess within 6 days she's intergrated herself into the household, she's not really friendly with the other cats yet, but she's not smacking at them either, just hissing and crouching when they come near. Soon she will probably not even do that. I mean for her only being here 6 days, She's come a LONG way!
