Hello!

Hey, everyone. I'm new here, referred by Sicycat. I've two cats -- one old fat one (Peanut) whom I aquired from an ex 'coz his family couldn't take care of her anymore, and one 7-month-old kitten (Cosmo) whom I adopted from the Humane Society. Cosmo likes to eat my fishies.

We are all rescued here, indoor-only and spayed/neutered of course; Nicolas is going on 17 and Suha is 2, and everyone else is in between. Maybe your fishies need a top on their tank?!!

Keeping the kitties out of the fishies can be quite a task. We have a number of members here who have fishies as well - they may be able to share good tips with you. Try going to the Cats and other animals forum.

Yay!!! Welcome Tasha! So glad you joined. You MUST post some pictures of Cosmo and Peanut in the Fur pictures forum (subforum of the Cat Lounge). I know everyone would love to see them. Cosmo is so adorable even if he is a naughty fish eating boy!

LOL I will let her tell you the stories, but all the tanks have tops/lids. This cat is DETERMINED I tell you, I have never heard of a cat that can actually get inside of fish tanks with lids on them.

I don't have any fish, but I have a friend who has two fish tanks and a cat named Sadie.
Every once in a while Sadie takes a little fishing trip too.

Yep, Sicy knows the long big story about Cosmo and his determination to wipe me of anything else I express my love to. But seriously, all tanks have lids on them, but that cat finds his ways. Everytime I try something different and am confident that he WILL NOT be able to get to my fishies, he does. I dunno how he does it. I should put a camera to catch him in the act.

Peanut and Cosmo don't live together. Peanut's at my parent's house and Cosmo is at my bf apartment. I go back and forth between the two. Long, complicated living situation. I would love to bring the two together, though. Hopefully I'll be able to afford my own place soon and can bring them.

Yeah, that'd be one sure way to find out how he's doing it -- seriously! There's some very surreptitious action around here from time to time, too -- no fishies involved, but other things that are so mysterious! One thing you have to admit to about cats -- they are NEVER boring and NEVER predictable, eh?

We look forward to those pics whenever; and we sure do hope you can get your own place soon, too -- two cats together make such great company! (and may prevent unwanted fishing...)
