I thought it was kind of odd that she suddenly had internal bleeding--John didn't mention what caused the bleeding and what caused her to pass away.

Amber had mentioned having IBS and with a pregnancy, it's very easy to see how small perforations can happen and get worse with a kicking child.

But not the point of this post.

I am one of those people that doesnt really trust anyone on the internet. At least, I feel that I can get good reads off people whether or not they are telling the truth, due to over 7 years as an admin on another forum. I have seen it all. I have a LOT of good, real friends that I've met online and also in person but I pay close attention to people's writing, stories, etc and can usually get a good read. It's unfortunate but always be careful if you decide to 'donate' anything to someone over the internet.

He made it sound like the baby kicked her intestines and it ripped.
Out of my eyes anyway, from other people it sounded like the dog jumped on her and caused her belly to burst

I rembmer hearing that she fell or something.

I still don't doubt most of the members on this site. We are a group of people who care about one another. I refuse to let one case of something like this change my mind about all of you.

Me too, I grieved for Amber.

Now that I think about it, John and Amber could've been the same person. One person looking to get their kicks, you can pull personal pics from anywhere on the net. Rememeber one of the first belly pics she posted had amber across the pic?? She said that someone had stolen her pics before or something...makes you wonder now.
I have thought about that too..there is no reason why they couldn't be the same person..Its easy to be a bunch of different people online unfortunately.

I also thought it weird that he would post so much after the death of his gf who he wanted to marry..I would be in a hole for months and not come on TCS...thats for sure.

In any case..I still pray for Kaelyn if this is real. And if it isn't real, then I have no words for the schmuck who thought up this scheme. Causing people with real feelings so much pain..and me grieving for nothing makes me feel sick.

I never thought of that. I didn't know she had IBS. I must of got her mixed up with Nikki, who has gastro problems.

Thank you!
I also think that most everyone here is very genuine.

I don't want to doubt you guys either, since I know quite a few of you talk on the phone, and have met in RL, etc. It just makes me wonder though.

Same here, its just sad that someone can come here like that and make us all feel this way

What I also that was weird is that he never called her by her name - Kaelyn. He always refered to her as "the baby"

It is a little odd, but I'm one of those people who call people/animals by nicknames and never by their real names.

Like I've said, I don't think I ever 'spoke' with Amber on here but had read her posts.
I was so shocked and saddened when I read what John said had happened to her.

I don't however regret in any way that I bought food for and arranged the neutering of my neighbors kitten...because she can't afford it.
I do however regret the fact I did it in Ambers name, if indeed we were all scammed.

I honestly didn't think that there was even a possibility of it all being fabricated: the thought had never crossed my mind once, which indicates that either I am a good person, or that I'm gullible. I'd like to believe that its because I'm a good person.

As someone else said, whatever really happened with this person/people, I hope whoever is involved can get the help they need, if it was all fabricated.

What a horrible horrible thing to make up!! I was shocked when I first read it and actually thought about it alot the next day. Then I started to get that little nagging feeling in the back of my mind that some things weren't adding up and that it didn't seem right. He said in one of the posts that her ex came and started trouble but how did the ex know that she was at the hospital to begin with? Then he said they were trying to get it worked out so that the baby wouldn't have to go to foster care, but why wouldn't her family take the baby?

Wow... I hope that this person gets some couseling because that just isn't right. What would make someone want to do anything like this? Its just cruel.
And after people were wanting to make donations and made the memorial site

I think what you did was AWESOME! It was a gift given from the heart no matter how it started! I want to remember what you did instead of the ugliness of this whole situation!

I'm in shock right now. I'm just catching up with this thread and it is definitely making me feel ill. I know that the majority of the people on this site are kind and good-hearted. That's why I'm here. But for someone to take advantage of our trust and comradery (sp?,) well, that's just makes me sick. It also makes me lose a little faith in humanity. I too grieved for the loss of a "mom" and her "baby." I just don't know what to believe. I just wish there was a way to know for sure.
