Cats! Spawn of the Devil? - Page 2

I didn't thoroughly read the article because I found it a tad hard to follow at times but I did enjoy:

The demeanor of a cat is seen by many honest-hearted observers as reflecting some supernatural, unnatural proclivity towards malice or evil. And, it is a well-known fact that cats are impossible to tame, teach or raise in the truth. The cat has a rebellious, independent spirit. While the animal itself may be unaware of this tragic condition, it serves only its true master - Satan, the Devil.
*Looks at kittens. Reads quote again. Looks at kittens. Falls on floor in a fit of laughter* I love it!! So THAT'S why my kitties don't listen to me. They're serving their true master, Satan the Devil.

I also enjoy that cats demonstrate "excessive playfulness". I never realized that was evil before. I must sit down and have a very serious talk with the kits about how they should tone down the playfulness. Though I don't know if they'll listen to me, as I'm not their true master, Satan the Devil.

However, I'm guessing whoever wrote the web page is quite a fundamentalist and many of them are quite opposed the Catholic church. (just speaking from my experience with people I've gone to school with).

Sorry I didn't realize there was a thread about this before. I looked, but only over the first page or two! Didn't think to look back that far!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but whoever wrote that is not a Christian fundamentalist by any stretch of the imagination- they are probably a Jehovah's Witness, by the frequent references to "The Watchtower" magazine. And yes, they are very wrong- the Bible actually refers to Jesus as "the Lion of Judah":

Revelation 5:4-6 (New International Version)

4I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
That's a bunch of silliness- anyone can make anything something they worship instead of God- I don't see any references to not having a farm with cows, because they are "beasts" and are worshipped as gods in some religions . Good grief.

Whoa. I just noticed that if a few more people view this thread it will have 666 views. Surely this is a sign, as this is a thread specifically discussing cats as they relate to the devil. Maybe someone should email the author of that article to let him know?

I thought this was silly at first, but then I woke up in the middle of the night and caught Zissou ceremonially sacrificing birds and mice on an altar that said "All hail Satan" and realized that she really does worship Satan. Then she turned around and he eyes were full of fire and I noticed horns on her head.
