I thought this was really cute, and with all of my scrapbook supplies, I think I could make one a whole lot cuter than that! If I make it, I'll fill it up with candy and small trinkets since we usually try not to spend much money on each other for v-day.
I thought it was a really cute idea!

I have tons of near empty or empty paint cans in the garage, problem is, I wonder how to get them clean? I'm allergic to paint thinner....any other ideas?

I hadn't thought of a pressure washer!! As cold as it is right now, it might freeze though!!
I was just wondering if something like Goo-Gone or Go-Jo (which my husband uses to get tar off his hands) would work? I may try that later....

Hand cleaner may work.It takes grease off hands and tools. So, it may just work.
Good luck and you'll HAVE to post pics of yours when you get them done!!!

I used an old tissue box for the same idea back in HS. When I went to college I put tissue paper sprayed with DH's cologne so I wouldn't miss him so much. I still have it
That is when I discovered that Elmer's Glue melts styrofoam.

Just in case anyone was wanting to do this, I thought I would let you know that getting a paint can clean isn't as hard as one might think!!

Now mind you, my cans were still sealed up, so part of the paint was still wet. Anyway, I just used hot hot hot water and dawn dish soap, and with a little elbow grease, I now have a clean paint can!!

The paint that was dried on the sides of the can was actually really easy to get off. With the hot water, it softened the bond and it peeled off in large pieces. Not difficult at all. The hardest part was the little crevice where the lid sits in the can. I managed to get all of that paint out with a screwdriver and hot water.

Just thought I'd update!!
