Yes, basically, just a different term. Junk email includes spam, phishing, viruses, basically emails you consider "junk".

I was spoiled for the longest time by our company spam filter; never a single one. Then those stupid gif emails started up and they had a problem with getting those. It is getting better. What cracks me up is that the filter now marks some IT emails as spam.

Spam stinks. I NEVER give out two of the four e-mail addresses I have unless its a real person I know. I have one email address I use to "register" with sites (not this one, of course) that never gets checked. It's real, and it's mine... and it's ALL spam.

Meh. Phishing really worries me though cause my mom almost falls for it every time.

So instead of a congratulations...they asked me to start letting some spam through.
I don't care...actually I'm letting it all through. Many said that they would rather sift through a bunch of spam to find legit emails rather than to "miss" anything.

So do you like Spam (emails)?
If you haven't already - please go to work tomorrow and smack each one of those folks upside the head for me.
What the hell are they thinkin??? If they really want the spam - tell them I'll give them my e-mail addresses and they can sort through my crap.
I am the queen of the "Anti-spam" movement. I have separate accounts for many of the websites I visit so that way if I get a spam e-mail - I can target exactly who it came from. Burns me to no end!!!! I've spent many a day and many hours trying to track down spam.
OOOHHHHHHH - it gets me!!!!

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I hate spam too! Especially at work! I see a little envelope pop in the corner of my screen, and I'll be working on a high dollared spreadsheet in excel, and I save & minimize to check my email in case it's a lunch I have to order for the next day, and here it is "vacations america" wanting me to take a cruise somewhere!

I would've thanked you Jenny!

Spam is a necessary evil. Not brave enough to spam. But I see it as a free speach deal. One forum poster once said it is all spam.

Technically to some this joke is spam because I've posted it before.

What did the spamar say to the priest?

Forgive me father for I have spammed.

Priest responds, "what did you spam?"

Spamar responds, "What is your E-mail"

I hardly ever read my E-mail because of spam. Had 65K unread E-mail in my spam account.

Agreed that viruses are worse then spam;( My wife got rid of 130 viral/spy type of deals not to long ago.

Sometimes spam can be funny
It is evil; but, it is a necessary Evil. Part of the reason spamars spam is there is actually a market for it. Something like 10% of the population takes advantage of spam offers.
