Well I think I'm going to stay off the other forum I go to (computer forum) unless its for computer questions - No socializing though.

In the social forum on the site, there is a place for state specific socializing. Well last summer the mod of the forum began campaigning to get our current governor re-elected. Then for a while he was all about the Tigers head coach being written in, then went back to our current governor.

Well last week Pfizer (who is another major business in SE MI) announced that it was laying off 2500 or so people.

So this mod creates a thread that says our governor is the sole reason for us being the bottom of the unemployment, she can't seem to keep businesses here etc.

I called him out on it. I asked why then, did he campaign for her, would he have preferred her competitor? Plus I mentioned that you can't solely blame HER as there are other factors involved such as Detroit's declining state, and quite possibly bad management (people in management that got there by brown nosing) on several companies parts.

So he addressed me (and no one else) basically defending that Pfizer and the Big 3 Auto never had bad management, it was all the governor's lack of doing anything for our economy.

Ummm..can we say mentally unstable? Or just slightly crazy?

All I can say is: I
TCS!
(can I get that in a T-shirt?)

Yup, I love TCS too!! I used to frequent a triathlon forum, and stayed on even when I stopped doing triathlons for the social aspect and I knew a lot of fellow triathletes who were also on there.

Then I discovered TCS.... People here are soooo much more friendly! The triathlon site was soooo arrogant, people would constantly abuse each other, there was so much smut and it just wasn't worth the effort.

I
TCS!

This is my one stop forum. I do have a Sims forum & Big Brother forum that are VERY slow. I love this place.

I've belonged to a good number of online forums. This is by far the friendlies one I've ever come across. Everyone here respects everyone else's views, no one thinks thier a no it all, and the mods aren't contol freaks. I give this forum an A+

I'm a member of some other forums & often when they get as big as TCS, they get ugly. They just aren't moderated enough, etc. TCS is nice, big, friendly & fun!

All I have to say, is that you have no experienced flaming until you have gone to this one newlywed forum I used to read occassionally. Gee golly wow. Everyone has an opinion (usually, they also contradict themselves wildly) and no one has respect for anyone else's opinions.

I went on there asking a question about, gee, I don't remember...I think something about me having trouble interacting with future FIL and it was off with my head. One out of 20 people actually offered real advice, otherwise I was stoned to death because obviously not getting along perfectly with both in-laws AND I'm 21 means I'm not ready for marriage (but then again, when I asked about different kinds of cake on this site's bridal forums, I got the same lecture, again, because of the year I was born). Blech. My parents have a fantastic marriage and she and my Nonnie (dad's mom) really dislike each other. I just wanted my question answered!

It's true: TCS rocks!

TCS is my only forum, its so big that I have a hard enough time keeping up with IT!!
but this is the bestest place ever
I would probably be in shock if I ever saw what other forums were like
and I'd cry

I have to admit this was my first forum also. I lurked here for quite a while, but when I got my feral family, I desperately needed the RIGHT help to make sure they were safe and sound......and I got it.

I have stayed here ever since. I really enjoy the different personalities here and I think it makes for a well rounded place to talk and find answers to your questions.

I pointed out at one time that the world could take a lesson from the pleasing way TCS handles itself and the people on it.

I definately enjoy the diversity here, that's for sure!

I'm currently a member of 3 forums and a moderator on one and for the sheer size of this forum, I just think that it's an amazing place!

I've never really had a poor experience with forums and I hope it stays that way

I absolutely love this forum, I first came here because of Neet, she had told me about it on one of the forums we both belong too. And I came here because this forum decided to choose BARL as the reciepient for the cookbook donations.

I am a member of three racing forums for the driver that I like, and I am a member of a LSU forum too.

Even though I don't have cats, I do have a dog. But the people on this site have NEVER made me feel out of place or anything. I have made many new friends while I have been here.

I enjoy coming here, and I do spend a lot of my free time on this site. I visit my other sites but I stay here a lot.

Yeah, this forum is pretty special!
I was on a couple before, but I'm really glad I found TCS. This has such a fun social aspect and there are so many different people here, and the moderation is awesome. People can be so strange on internet forums, it really made me hesitate about joining in. I sure am glad I joined TCS, and now it's the only forum I belong to!

yup...I reread the guys post this afternoon...actually to see if anyone responded to it.

Basically I think the guy works for one of the companies that are downsizing...perhaps the one that just made the news here. Most likely he's either in hot waters for his job or he lost his job, so maybe that was the negative reaction to blame the governor.

Oh well...still he's pooy-head.
