Back in Sept when I took Bobber for her annual exam I pointed out two soft lumps -one on her face and the other under her right "armpit". The vet poled the facial one and drain it but asked to watch to see if it come back. If did a few weeks later but drained on its own but its back. The other he wanted to X-ray to see if it was a BB or pellet but after squeezing a bit he though it wasn't. He was able to poke a needle in that but no drainage. This one has gotten larger (from pea sized to a marble). He said they can be easily removed.
Has anyone gone through this-I forgot to ask if they put the cats under or can they give a local injection?? Bobber is not happy to go to vet even thou she did quite well with all that poking around.

The only one that I have had was on Old Pete. I bent down to pet him one morning and this huge "thing" was under his chin. I didn't know what the devil it was.

It broke by the time I got home and we got some medication (antibiotics) for him and that was that.

Do you know why it keeps come back? Is there an irritant there?

I don't think I will know anything until I take her in. I see a different vet Thursday for Bakker I will ask if she can think of anything.

I had a cat that used to get them under his chin. He had a couple removed under general anaesthetic - usually necessary I think because they can be attached to something so the vet doesn't always know what he will find.
