Talk about witches!

Okay I am only 20 and I lack a lot of work experience but this has made me wake up to my self so much and in my next job I wont let them take me for a ride anymore!

There are two new interns in the office, When they first started they both got a bunch of flowers and I didnt...

I have been sick for two weeks, and none of them told me to get well soon! a couple of weeks ago, a colleague was sick for 3 days with just a mild flu and they went out of their way to get her flowers and a card and were all fussing about her!

I got into work this morning, and none of them talked to me properly. I literally wondered what was wrong with them as I didnt do anything wrong! They werent even happy to see me!

My boss tells me I have to go into her office as soon as im done with work. She told me since ive been sick in the last two weeks she wont lay me off. But she will let me keep on working there for febuary just untill i get another job!

She literally told me I was useless, and that they didnt like my personality!
They think im incompatible for this company, I LITERALLY HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THEY TOLD ME TO DO! She has also told me that i seem "lost" and that maybe it was due to me being sick, but it doesnt matter now!?!?!
I had told them last month that i didnt know how to improve my self, they didnt tell me what they wanted. I have told them that i wont stress my self out for this job, and i have also told them that they literally panic and go all stressy for absolutely no reason! if they calmed down they wouldnt make so many mistakes!
She also told me that i was young and that i need to grow up! I just had to raise my eyebrow because i have not done anything at work to be immature, my colleague who is 35 goes off screaming how "some guy saw her naked in the sauna" and she dares to call me immature?

I feel, that they havent given me the chance to prove my self to be worthy, but then on the other side i want them to shove it up their butts!

Thanks for letting me rant, i just dont understand why i have to go through all this!

Its tough to work in at a job where you don't feel appreciated. The boss doesn't seem to want to help you. That type of work environment is toxic and you would be best working someplace else that will appreciate you.
Hang in there!!

Fran once you are at another job they will realize that is wasn't you making the mistakes. Its tough to be treated poorly by coworkers. Take it as a learning experience and move on. Your next job will be better!

I am so sorry Fran
I know it can be so frustrating and make you so angry - take it from someone who tried desperately to fit into a company for over a year and just couldn't. I was miserable. I tried my damnest to fit in with everyone and figure out what the hell they wanted from me and come to find out (now that I have another job that I am very happy with and the folks are extemely happy to have me) - it was them - not me. Sometimes it's the best thing to find something and somewhere that you can be happy and fit in with the other employees. I'm not a difficult person to work with and I'm sure you aren't either. It's just that this company you work for sounds like they are some what "set" in their ways and you disrupted that. Some companies are just not ready for that - but it's their own fault 100% and it's only going to hurt them in the end. Don't get too upset about it.
I would try first of all to have some sit downs individually with the management (bring a notepad and paper) and have a private meeting asking them specifically how you can improve, what you can change, how you can work through this. I did that at the company I was at and found that every manager I met with had something different in mind. So how was I suppose to improve when they all wanted different things. Well the day I left for a 2 week vacation they told me I had 30 days to improve drastically or I was going to get fired. Hello! I'll be gone for 2 weeks on vacation which only leaves me 10 working days to get my $hit together. Anyways - I left and am so happy I did. Maybe your company is just as screwed up and maybe you will be happier elsewhere. It can't hurt to pursue other options too.
Best of luck to you!

Oh honey, I'm sorry they are being so mean to you. I was in a job a couple years ago that I got laid off from. I was told that my services would no longer be required and that I had a lousey attitude. Well if they had been through what I had they wouldn't be as calm. I was taken into the office of a partner that I didn't know with a person from HR that I didn't know and told that I would be escorted from the building. I told them "NO, I want to be laid off by somone who has actually worked with me, and can explain why i'm being laid off". I was escorted from the building and no one would return my calls. I had worked there for over a year and had friends (or so I thought!)

I look at it this way, you are probably going to be better off somwhere where they like you, appreciate your abilities and the people are nicer. I am sure you will find that place, it may take some time but try to look at it in a positive light. Your getting out of a place that wasn't good for you.

I suggest looking at working for a charity, they are always nice people and they are appreciative of your work. (working for a charity does not mean working without pay, all charities have a budget for administrative support)

Sounds like they were a bunch of drama queens at work and LOVE to be the center of attention.

I doubt you are, and really who knows, maybe all that drama queen action IS the cause of your illness (literally SICK of drama
)

So sorry to hear this- I can't say that my work environment is the best as we have a couple of quite nasty gossips (I'm not above this myself but I would never spread horrid rumours
). I'm sure once you move on you will realise that the environment there was the problem and not you

Fran sorry you are going through this. Sounds like a job were their care more about personalities than anything. Maybe you are right and you should go home. You posted about that before. Look for a job there before you make the move though.

I'm sorry to hear that Fran

Every company has their own little clic's (it's just like being back in elementary school really)

I know it doesn't seem like it now but you are much better off not working with people who don't appreciate you.

I am sorry they have treated you this way, you don't deserve that, no one does!

I hope you'll take the experience, learn what you can from it, including that sometimes you've landed in with folks who are just very different, and it doesn't mean a thing is wrong with you, it's just oil and water, not a good mix.

I wish you a *very* good next job with wonderful folks who will appreciate and enjoy who you are.

Sorry to hear about that. It's especially tough when you're sick and you think that no one there cares. I hope all the best for you that you get an even better job this next time!

It's one of those things when one door closes another will open... I was greatly under appreciated at a job before.. But then I was let go.. I found a new job,, and it all worked out.. You have to beleive in yourself, and don't worry what your coworkers do. Do what makes you happy.. Most of the time it's not about you.. It's about them and what horrible lives they have, and your the first person to take it out on.. and if you take it is one story... So don't take it.... If you have to make your remarks.. Such as I don't know what your problems are.. But whatever it is.. Get over it... I'm just as good as you all are,, and probably better because I don't backstab, and talk about people behind their back.. Remember, bad karma always comes back to people..

Hang in there gorgeous. It sounds like that place didn't appreciate good work or a quality employee when they had one! I am sending lots of prayers and vibes that you find the right job for you soon

As long as you stand beside that thinking,, you'll be fine.. It'll be tough,, but it's a means to an end,, or a silver lining, when you really need one.. Good luck and if you ever need to talk let me know....

Maybe it's a good thing you're being let go! It sounds to me like you're better off somewhere that they appreciate you.
