Yay! The vet visit went well!

I'm hoping next Friday he will be able to go cast free!

I'm glad the visit went well.

Do you have any idea what physical therapy consists of?

Glad to hear Simon is doing so well. I guess I missed the back story, but how did he get injured and require surgery?

I asked the tech and she said they will actually teach me how to move his knee in certain directions and how to exercise that leg. Right now your guess is as good as mine. All I can picture is a normal physical therapy room and Simon going from station to station.
Telling Simon to do anything is a joke!

We are unsure of how exactly Simon injured himself. He went missing for two days almost 3 weeks ago and came home dragging his back leg. I think the injury is what kept him from getting home.

I'm so pleased that Simon is doing well and he's keeping his cast in great condition - must be the colour making him take care of it

I know it might sound like a feat in itself, but do you have an animal hydrotherapy unit near to you? I've heard from many people that it really does help speed up the healing and motion process (I know this from my human perspective, but not personally animal)

Continued }}}VIBES{{{ for quick healing

I don't think we have one or I haven't heard of one around here. Sarah to be honest if Simon is anywhere near water he flips a lid. We can give him a bath but it normally takes 3 of us. Thanks for the thought. My brother swears by his water therapy for his bum knee.

It was worth a thought though!
They seem to be becoming increasingly popular in the UK, which is one reason why I thought of it!

I sure with Meowmy's gentle hands helping to manipulate his knee, Simon will do really well and bounce right back!

Update time!!

Simon is completely out of the cast!
He has also been released from the kennel as long as he doesn't over do it!
He is healing wonderfully and ahead of schedule! At this time Dr. Davis wants Simon to use the leg as much or as little as he wants too.

They didn't remove the stitches yet. Dr. Davis felt he needed to stay in another week!!

His leg looks so tiny right now and the bandage must have stuck to his skin because it completely removed what little hair he had left! Poor baby!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the vibes and prayers!

That is absolutely wonderful news, Eva! Im sure just letting him roam free without a cast is a great stress reducer for you and for Simon. Continued vibes for your handsome boy!
