Hey Susan, it's good to see you back on the site! Just wondering how your move went, and especially how that long drive with your kitties went over? Do you and the cats like your new place?

I hope the move went smoothly, and that you are settling in nicely.

That is great to hear Susan! I'm glad the drive went well, and that you and the kitties are settled in well. Great news about the job, too!

I don't know if it would do any good or not now, but what that moving company did to you was illegal. I saw a series on CBS Evening News a while ago, and sad to say there are a lot of moving companies that do that. They had cases where the moving companies were trying to get $10-20,000 from people by holding their things ransom. What the federal regulation is, the moving company cannot charge you more than 10% of their written quote, after you move.

I hope you can get some relief from the insurance claim. It's too bad companies like that can operate.

I understand that. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and move on. I understand why some of those people were fighting them about it, though - an extra $20,000?!?! I'm hard pressed coming up with an extra $20 sometimes. LOL Of course, they also had to wait 6 months or longer for the case to go through the courts to get their things.

Good luck on your insurance claim! Of course, the most important thing is that you and your kitties all arrived safe and sound. Things can be replaced, lives can't.
