My Mom has been fighting for the last week at the nursing home for
her last breath. We have not left her alone at all for the past 6-7
days. I got a call early this morning from one of my sisters that
it may be the end and went up at 2:30 or so. Stayed till 4:am and
was so tired I had to come home and she seemed to have stabilized
once again.
So I went to bed, then got woke up again at 10:30 or so saying she
was seizing. I stayed in bed instead of rushing back. I got
another call at about 12:20pm saying she was gone.
She was with 4 of my sisters and some neices and nephews.
I am almost glad I wasn't there from the things I was told of her
passing.
I will miss her dearly!
Right now I am still numb, and grateful that she is no longer
suffering so.
She is with my sister that passed away last January and her Mom who
passed when I was 16 & Dad who died when I was 4. She was
a "Daddy's girl" to say the least! All those who have gone before
her, I am hoping were there with waiting arms for her.
Mom has struggled the past 3 years or so with breast cancer,
diabetes, etc... and had her 2nd breast removed in October 2006. It
has been a slow downhill slide ever since.
She was a wonderful person, had a HUGE heart, and never had a bad
word for anyone. She was just one of the sweetest people on earth
and now she will be my angel in heaven until I see her again.
