Hi everyone, well it was only a few weeks ago that i wrote about how well freda was doing unfortunatly shes taken a turn for the worse. In the last 2 weeks shes stopped eating and become very thin,we took her to the vet and put her on medication and give her a shot. She hasnt improved at all and we think its time to say goodbye to her

I spent all day yesterday crying,we have an appointment to put her to sleep today at 2.30pm and i dunno how im gonna cope. I really want to be with her when she goes but i just cant stop crying! My other kitties lily and florrie seem to know whats going on,theres been no fights or growling for the last few days and yesterday the strangest thing happened, lily and florrie went over to freda at the same time and just kinda surrounded her and as most of you know my kitties do not get on,iv never seen them like that before cos they would never go near eachother but it made me happy.
I will inform you all on how today goes,i have also made a short video of freda which iv posted on youtube and if im allowed i will post the link to it later.

please wish me and freda luck.

oh darl, what a sad time for you right now. I wish I could find the words that could help ease the pain you must be feeling right now

Freda sweetheart, safe travels, fly high with the wind as you will no longer be in pain.

I will light a candle to help guide you home

wow, she most certainly HAS had a wonderful long life. No wonder this is hard for you, only 2 years younger than you? so you have grown up with her yes? awwww how heartbreaking.

but, if she is suffering, if you can tell by the look in her eyes that its time, then you are undoubtably doing the right thing, hard as it may be.

You will get through this, and you know that there is someone online here at all times if you need to talk

I am so sorry to hear about Freda, I know how hard the decision it too, but you don't want her to suffer any more either. That is what I had to look at when the time came for me.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had to have my beautiful boy Snoopy put to sleep two years ago, at the age of 20. It is hard to let them go, no matter how long they've been with you, but when they've been with you most of your life, it just feels harder. I got through it, knowing that my boy had lived a nice long, happy life, longer than most cats, and that I was stopping the suffering he didn't deserve, in the latter part of his life. My heart goes out to you, and I pray for you to have the strength to get through this. I know it will be very hard and painful at first, but I know you'll be able to get through it.

Shes gone now,we've buried her next to her friend claudia who died 4 years ago. I just dont know what to do without her,i managed to watch her go and it was so awful but she was gone within 5 seconds which is good. I wrapped her in her blanket and placed her in a box with a toy mouse, she looked so cosy. I cant stop crying,i just dont know what to do now...

you cry as much as you need to and hold close those wonderful memories that you have. She will be watching over you and so grateful that you helped stop her pain. You will meet again

I am so sorry you have had to make this hard decision, it isn't a pleasant one, but it is our final act of love and kindness for our beloved furbabes, and they appreciate that we can put our feelings aside for them. RIP little one, send a message down from time to time.

If it should be I grow frail and weak,
And pain prevents my peaceful sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
When this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
Selfishness might stay your hand.
But on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship take the test.
We've had so many happy years ,
That what's to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer. So,
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend.
Only stay with me until the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me.
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know, in time, you, too, will see,
It is a kindness that you do for me.
Although my tail it's last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve it should be you.
Who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years......
Don't let your heart hold any tears
