My Three Angels

Today has been a very sad one and one that will ache in my heart for a long long time.

Godiva - Chunky and Truffles all passed to the Bridge. Each was very sick last night and nothing seemed to help the situation.

They were all so small and fragile. I am so very sorry that I could not keep them here any longer. They are at the Bridge now, playing and romping and free from all illness.

There is a hole in our hearts tonight - one that cannot be repaired.

I shall miss them forever.........

Oh Debra, I wish I could give you a big hug. You have brought a tear to my eye. I am so sorry for your loss.

But you are so right, they are playing and content right now.

I am sure they are smiling down on their Earth Angel right now.

We won't brook that kind of talk here. We all know you did what you could as soon as you could. You don't need to live with un-necessary guilt as well as the pain. They are on your shoulders, scampering about and snuzzling consoling snuzzles on your neck. They are scampering among your other furbabies, helping them get better quickly.

Oh, Debra, It breaks my heart to think that you have suffered such a terrible loss, and that for even a second you would feel responsible. I know and understand how sad you are. But you were the loving hand that petted them, the source of their nutrition and their comfort, and the only reason they had any chance to live. Kittens are tiny and very needy when born. Some are born to immature mothers or with birth defects. There is nothing short of major surgery (through which they would probably not live) that would keep them from dying. You were mommy to them, and if they could give you a message it would undoubtedly be, "Thank you." God bless you and dry your tears.

Debra, these little ones only had a chance at life because of you. You gave them everything you could, a loving heart and loving hands. You have three more little angels waiting for you at the Bridge, and I'm sure they will thank you for the love you showed them in their short lives.

Debra - that's so desperately sad. Poor babies, just at the start of their little lives too.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. You gave these little guys such a huge chance, but sadly they were not strong enough despite the love, warmth and care you provided. Bless you for taking the time and trouble to care. Many others would not.

You have my admiration and respect.

I echo what Jeanie said, she said it so much better than I could have....you are not responsible for this Deb. You showed them so much love!!! They would not want you to be sad. This is not in any way your fault!!!!! They were lucky to have someone like you to show them love, even if it was only for a short while. Some kittens never even get that much. You did a wonderful job with them and it was beyond your control.

You were not responsible for the losses. These things just happen. You did everything possible to get these little ones back on their feet, but it was not to be. Take comfort in knowing that they were in the best possible place with the best person...you. They could not have wished for more.

Oh Deb, I'm soo very sad to hear this.. But the babies had a good life with you while they were here, and for that I am SURE they are sooo grateful, please don't feel guilty/responsible for this loss, there was nothing more you could've done. You were indeed their "earth Angel"
I wish I could do something to help, its such an awful feeling to cope with.... well, I guess all I can do is send you lots of love and hugs

They are blessed with having been with you even for a short time. You have made their time on earth the best it could possibly be. Without you they would have only known cold, hunger and pain. Now that they have crossed the bridge they can do so with the love and happiness that you gave them here on earth.
