BF is a little like that too - although thankfully we don't yet need photo id to by meds yet.

I have the best pharamacists in the whole world - love them, they've been my pharamicists since I moved to Limerick eight years ago. They've "been through" so much with me. Which naturally means that the head pharamcist (owner) know lots of things about me - which freaks BF out, especially if I send him for a prescription and her staff ask him questions (like "has she taken this before" or "is she on anything else at the moment" - perfectly reasonable questions).

I can't tell you the number of times he's pleaded with me to go to the store with him - which he knows DRW is not happening. I think he's afraid that he's some kind of weird druggie and that they'll call the cops.

He's a man. I know if you told me that all I would hear is get me some cold and flu medicine. Men dont really listen to detail.

Emily, this is OT, but I LOVE your siggy! It is one of the best, and there are a lot of beautiful ones on this site. Did you make it?

Oh no. HopeHacker made it for me. She loves to do them in her free time and I'm sure if you PMed her some high quality photos and a sweet request, she'd make you one too.
Or you could just pop over to the siggy shower.

(Sorry, Heather. Not trying to thread hijack. [insert covert ninja smiley here])

I feel slightly better today. I have to go in a work for four hours, and I'm really not looking forward to it.

14 hours of sleep did my body some good!

I'm glad that you're feeling better.

Will it be a slow day at work? Can you just relax and rest?

It should be a slow day. It just depends on how many people buy new cars and want to register them today. Because it's been so cold and nasty out I think I'll be fine.

Can you bring a book or magazine? Install chess on your work machine?

The cold medicines on the shelves have phenylephrine whereas the stuff behind the counter has pseudoephedrine (I think someone else mentioned this).

I think the phenylephrine is crap when taken systemically (orally). It's worked when I have used it in a nasal spray, however. Pseudoephedrine has a much longer half life, so that's my theory as to why it works better orally than phenylephrine. If I take more than the recommended dosage of phenylephrine in tablets by themselves with the acetaminophen, DXM, and antihistamine separately , it works better for me... so it's possible the recommended dosage isn't high enough either.

It's a pain in the butt to go "behind the counter" but it's worth it to me! I haven't heard anyone say that phenylephrine works well orally since they changed the law (and I worked in a pharmacy at the time it happened).

Anyway, I hope you feel better by now. Men... can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em!

Thanks sweetie... I do. After taking two rounds of the good stuff I'm getting in the pink.
