That is true I guess. Though it will become obvious eventually to people who knew Amber and me that Im not her biological dad. Because Stan is black and Im not. Im getting picked up tomorow at 7 so I'll sign it as soon as I get there. That would mean she could come home with me right and that I wouldnt have to get custody of her. I really need to get to sleep but Im afraid if I do Ill start dreaming about her being here still. Its so lonely without anyone else here. The animals arent even acting normal. Nazumi is actually not getting into anything. No playing has gone on at all. I guess they notice their mom is gone. Now what should I do with Lily.

Yes sweetheat- Kaelyn will come home with you if you sign it. I know it's hard....but try to at least rest a little That was you will have a little energy when you go to see little Kaelyn tomorrow And if you can't sleep- there are always some of us nightowl's up at this time of night if you need to talk. I know it seems really lonely right now- but try to remember that you are not alone - she is with you...even if you can't see her- she is there

Im gonna go see if I can at least get some sleep. My pelvis and legs are killing me because Ive been walking around more today then I have since the accident. So Im hoping that if I take some of my painkillers it will knock me out.

Try and get a little rest hon. just make sure you don't take more than the recommended dose on your pain killers. you need to be able to wake up so see little kaelyn in the morning. She needs you there I hope you get to feeling better soon. We will all be praying for you tonight

I agree - sign it. You are Kaelyn's dad - and you will protect her and be willing to fight to protect her - it's your right, and your responsiblity.

And if your signature is the slightest hurdle (and I suspect it will be more than slight) - in keeping that hundan away from your daughter, then put it in his path.

I couldn't agree more / Try and get some rest tonight. And remember- as you're sleeping, you have countless numbers of people praying for you and little kaelyn...and most importantly- you have Amber watching over you. She is with you- you are not alone tonight

John, I am so very sorry about Amber. I just don't know what else to say right now. I have only been here a little over a month so I didn't know her as well as all the other people here. But I do know that she loved you and she loved the baby that she was gonna have.

I think you should do whatever is right for you, I think your heart will tell you want is wants. Just know that everyone here will support whatever you decide to do.

Kaelyn is a beautiful little girl, I am like the others, her pictures were more beautiful each time they took one of her.

I think also Lily will come around to you, you will hafta try to give Lily all the love that you have, Amber would want you too. And I think too that if you are having trouble with Lily, that beautiful angel named Amber will show you want you need to do.

The only thing right now about this terrible thing that makes me feel good is knowing that Amber is over at the bridge with all her animals that she loved. And she is not only playing with hers but she is looking after my Sambo and all the other animals that the people on this site has lost. That is a little comfort to me. I feel better now knowing that she is looking after Sambo. And I know that she is doing this because that is the type of person that she was.

Please know that everyone here loved her, and we learned to love you, and of course we will love Jaelyn too. If you need us, we will be here for you and Jaelyn.

Poor sweet little girl! At least she does not know the tragedy that surrounded her birth. And she has people who loved her mother and will now love her.

She has alot of thick long hair too. But she has hair on her ears,forhead and back. Which is a little wierd. Amber was worried that she wouldnt have hair. I wish she could have seen her.

Sign it John... that's the way she wanted it to be... This baby needs you and God has shown she wants to be with you. There is SO much more I want to say about all of this but the timing just isn't right

Kaelyn is an absolutely precious little child...she doesn't have that wrinkley shriveled newborn look that so many infants have right away...she's just a pretty little angel! What a blessing she will be for you...Kaelyn is her mother's legacy, sent to help you carry on with all of the wonderful things that Amber offered you and everyone else who loved her.

You want this to be as set in stone as you possibly can...and you do want to avoid any additional heartache, if it's possible at this moment.

Like everyone else has said, John - get your name on that birth certificate ASAP. Biology means nothing when it comes to real love - and YOU are her Daddy!

It is so weird - I got a calendar for Xmas and had PM'd with Amber about it, because Bagheera's picture is printed in the month of January. I'd sent her the link - it is the 365 days of kittens calendar.

I just know that little Bagheera was there to greet his meowmy who loved him so very much, and he will help her to watch over you and your fur and skin children.

With regard to Lily, I would start by talking softly to her, with Amber in your mind, tell her what happened as best as you can and apologize to her. Ask her to please let you be there for her in Amber's place - she just might let you once she understands what has happened.

Keep some things that you know still have Amber's smell, don't wash them, and give them to Lily to have. Later, when you can, try giving her a baby blanket that you have swaddled Lava Girl with - because her smell should be similar to Amber's and that may help her.

Just some thoughts. We're here for you, as best as we can be.

I agree with these folks. The last thing you need right now in your life is legal stuff going on. I would just ask someone to make sure.
In fact - does anyone know if we have someone of legal background here that may be able to answer that question for him? We've got so many folks here - posters, SO's, relatives - anyone? It would be great if we could find someone who might be able to help.

John, you sign that certificate. You are her father. She is a gorgeous baby girl and she's going to need you when she gets older to fend off all the boys Amber's wishes are for you to raise Lava Girl, She even told her mother that, that has to count for something, right? Try to stay strong, but remember that it is okay to break down and cry. It's good for you. We are all here to listen.
