It is so hard, it still seems unreal....I keep looking for her and she is not here. I keep expecting her to walk into the room at any moment. I have 6 other cats left, but it still seems so empty here without her. Thank you everyone for your kind comments. It makes it a little easier knowing I have friends who understand. I haven't even told my mom (who I come to with everything) yet because she's not an animal person and probably wouldn't say much about it.

It stinks when your own family doesn't understand what a loss it is. I know, my family is the same way. We're here for you! I'm always a PM away if you need anything...

i think you should tell her - she might surprise you. my mom is also not much of an animal lover, but she was so supportive when Mouse passed. her words, when i said how i was not sleeping well, were, "well, you're grieving." even tho she was not sad, she knew i was, & how important Mouse was to me.
