Excessive licking .... and pain

My 15 year old has been doing an excessive amount of licking "under her tail" area. I've noticed it over the last couple of days. If I try to go near the area to see if there's something there, she cries, that horrible cry... as if to say " no Mommy, it hurts" !
Also, she's been leaving little poo presents here in there. Just this morning, she let out a little YELP and when she walked away, there was a little present left behind. She has an appointment with her vet later today, but I was just wondering if anyone here can tell me what the problem
might be. I'm very concerned. Thanks in advance!

Could be something digestive or intestinal? It's good that your getting her to the vet. Hopefully it's nothing serious. Be sur eto let us know what you find out. {{{{Vibes for your kitty}}}

I also forgot to mention that she had a little case of diarrhea, just last week. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Thanks for the "vibes" !
