My folks are so awesome

I never really understood how lucky I was to have been brought up by animal lovers until seeing some of the posts here.

Today in the mail I recieved a sympathy card from my folks for Abby.
This just totally made me feel so much better.

You are right. Your parents ARE awesome.

That is so sweet that they recognize she was important to you.

My family is the same way, we were all devastated when my childhood cat, Katy, had to be put to sleep because of CRF. She was 18, and I was 22 at the time. My father, who is a 6'1, 230 pound manly man, cried and said he felt like he had lost a child.

I hope to pass my family's love of animals onto my kids!

That is truly a very nice and kind gesture and beautiful that they brought you up that way. My parents call my cats and dog thier grandcats and granddog and I am very Thankful they adore them as much as I do.
