She's being moved into the nursing home wing of the hospital today & to say the least, she's not happy about it! She basically wasn't given a choice.
She had back surgery Jan. 4th, then had a blood clot in her leg Jan 11th or so....(while still in the hospital) A spot opened up in the nursing home wing, so we took it. I just pray that she can recover. Her back is not healing well & we have all been very worried about her.

Growing old can be such a challenge.
My thoughts will be with your Grandma and your family.

Age has been really hard on her, but she turned 85 in Dec. 2006. I'm keeping my fingers crossed she makes it to 95!

Today I went to visit her. They aren't moving her into the nursing home wing. She was constipated & they had to "unblock" her. Ewwy.... Now they aren't sure how she'll be doing tomorrow & if she's...ummm...unclogged, they might consider moving her to the nursing home wing.

Awww that is to bad...
So many medications cause that problem, especially in the elderly.
Your dear Grandma remains in my thoughts.

She got moved into the nursing home wing in the hospital today & seems much happier than I've seen her before! I am very happy that she is happy. I promised kitty & doggie & foster puppy pictures to her because her walls are "too white".

Awww...I know how hard that must be for her. My grandfather (who just passed away on Wednesday) would have been placed in a nursing home if he would have recovered...and he was truly the type of man who would have been VERY unhappy in that setting...home was where his heart was, in every way. I sure hope your grandmother can recover from this quickly and comfortably...I'm sending prayers.
