I made my classmates cry...

Well not quite, but I introduced them to the wonderful world of puppy mills and the fact that Petland stores at the mall get their animals from amish puppy mills right here in Ohio and PA. No one knew about it and they were talking about getting a puppy from the mall pet store. I casually said, "no don't go there, they are puppy mill dogs" and that sparked some interest. The one girl was asking about it and I asked her to join me in the computer lab and I will show her. I had about 5 people follow her and I was showing them pictures of horrible mills and lots of before and after pictures.

It was fun on my part, I like educating people. I hope I changed a lot of minds and opened up a lot of peoples reality on pet store animals...

You did a really good thing today - for those people and for pets everywhere.

I had never heard of a puppy mill. I googled it after seeing this thread and was horrified by what I found. Thanks for the education, Jen.

It's great the you take it uppon yourself to educate people about the Nasty things people can do to pets... those people you told will forever remember what you said and at least think about it before purchaseing a pet from a pet store.
