Mini muffins, baby carrots, early peas. Do miniature foods taste better?

I say yes! Stay tuned for the poll.

errr, the 3rd option should say sometimes, Certain foods. Anyone know if I can edit poll options?

Ooo! I love mini queche!!

And coconut shrimp, petit fours, and just about anything that requires a toothpick.

I think they're better because I have them less often.

They may not taste better but they are so much more fun to make! As a baker I've fallen in love with making mini-tarts and mini-cookies.

Well, I know if I get a smaller portion of Prime Rib than I ordered it may taste the same but I'm not happy!

They do taste better, because you actually savor it. If you eat a Hershey's Miniature (okay, so it's not exactly the best chocolate, but) it tastes better than a whole bar.

Also, donut holes (from the fridge) will forever be the only donut I like.

The pops made for mixers are better too, because I usually get sick of soda before the end of the can.

And mini veggie corn dogs!

Depends on the food - "baby" vegatables are more tender, and I agree that they're better.

In general, I tend to encounter mini foods as badly made party favours - they are definately worse than the none mini version.

Hate to bust the bubble but those are not "baby carrots". Just regular carrots just peeled a special way!! And most likely a cultivar developed for this purpose. I've grown carrots for 20 yrs are my "baby carrots" would be thin toothpick things with no color or taste!! The peas are just harvested earlier than usual and again certain cultivars.

Ya know, I never thought about that. But then again I've never been in a restaurant where mini Prime Rib was on the menu.

I was going to mention that. Even though I know they're just big carrots cut up and polished smooth, they still taste better to me.

P.S. A big thanks to whoever fixed my poll! One of the mods?
