Hi. I have a male cat who after a Perineal Urethrostomy was prescribed a diet of firstly Hills Science s/d and now c/d. He is doing well and there seems to be no new crystal formation. However he still seems to get idopathic cystitis. I have metacam and cystaid to treat him with at home, and sometimes the vet prescribes Synulox. What I really want to know is there anything else I can do to help him, is there a better food I could try that would stop this recurring problem, which drives the poor little chap bonkers.

Welcome to the world of FIC!

My Molly was diagnosed with FIC last year and we're presently in the process of working with the meds and everything to get her better!

I'm from the UK too and would be very happy to chat with you about the issue, we can continue to learn together
