Any combination of 2 of my cats will do this, but it always ends in a 2 second brawl

Scratch isn't much of a cuddler but Squee always goes up to her and "demands" to be groomed.

eazy keeps trying, but heyu just bops him on the head.

Both Wellington and Persil will 'ask' Ellie to groom them by nuzzling her with their heads down. She will sometimes take it into her head to wash them and holds them down, which they usually like. It is very funny seeing her trying to keep Wellington still as he is twice the size she is! Sometimes it ends in a scrap, sometimes they settle down to sleep curled up together.
Sophie often goes up to Rosie for a nose kiss, then when she settles down beside her she does it so her heads near for Rosie to wash

I really love little kitty love moments - your sig reminded me of Sophie taking care of Rosie after you moved and Rosie was too scared to climb out of her cage.
Molly and Bobby do this (the mother-son pair in my first sig; he's at least one third bigger than her). Molly takes her momcat status very seriously - she's one loving, strict momma!
The rest of them play together - Talin (on the end) snuggles with all of them, and the others tolerate it to at least some degree. Slayer (middle panel) and Sláine (the second last panel) still ask for love occasionally from each other - most Sláine (bigger) to Slayer (tiny, kitten-sized).
We're very blessed. We have lots of "Awwwww" moments interspreced with "No! No! Stop being a hundan!" or "No! Get off of the counter you bu huihen de pofu!"

Ferris is always "asking" Ginger for lovies, but she still won't give him any - she gets grumpy, bops him, and walks away.
He tries to entice her by trying to give her head butts and rubs, and when she is lying down he tries to quietly sneak up to lie really close to her, but she just won't have it.
Poor little Ferris - he only wants her love and kisses!

Awwwww i know. It's the same when they have to go to the vets for their shots. I normally take Sophie one week then Rosie the next, and when one of them is in the carrier waiting to go, the other one comes straight over to the carrier sniffing

Phantom usually geets baths from Phenom. Good ones like cleaning out the ears and all that good stuff. Its so sweet! I love watching them be sweet to each other!
Mollie was always grooming Oliver. She was epsecially attentive to his little rear end. I have some lovely photos of Oliver with his little feet wrapped around Mollie's neck - he used to lie there and groom her faceand head. She, in turn, would wash his face and ears - working her way down his body. She just gave him extra loving. Mollie and Sophie have always washed each other's faces - although, Sophie tends to recieve more than she gives. Spoiled Sophie!
8-Bit will trill for a good five minutes waking Scratch up. Then Scratch will descend from the top of the cat tree, give a meep, and start grooming. It's so cute.
Buffy's always going up to Willow and shoving her head under Willow's chin. The problem is, Willow will be licking Buffy's head for a little while when Buffy changes her mind (Mr Hyde, anyone?) and starts lashing out at Willow, taking the grooming session as a sign of dominance, and Buffy can't have that, nuh uh, no way. No wonder Molly and Willow keep out of her way, lol

OK - back on track - yes, Bijou and Mika do this as well. One or the other will be sleeping on the bed and the other will come up and start grooming, then they change off, and after the grooming is finished they put heads and paws together and nap.
As littermates, Peter and Claire are the most affectionate with each other. They bathe each other and snuggle a lot. Peter tries being affectionate with my other girls, rubbing up against them and trying to snuggle, but more often than not it earns him a bop on the head. He really likes to go up and just lay down on top of them in an attempt to snuggle, but that usually doesn't go over too well either.
Cable does this to Pixel... & Mouse used to groom Pixel, also. but none of the others do. & Cable doesn't 'request' it from any of the other cats.Originally Posted by LDG
Ming Loy wobbles (she's handicapped) up to our other kitties, and shoves her face into their chest - nuzzling. They then start to lick her on the head an neck and she sits down while they groom her - sometimes for quite a while.
None of our other cats ever did this (Ming Loy is 2 years younger than 4 of them and 1 year younger than Flowerbelle) - but it seems so sweet!
Our kitties have always snuggled up with each other to sleep, and we see them grooming each other at times. But until Ming Loy we never had anybody (that we saw) "asking" to be loved on by any of the others. Do your kitties do something like this?

Trent and Ophelia used to groom each other a lot, but since Ophelia is still pissy about Ginger and Mojo coming home, she hardley allows snuggles anymore.
Ginger wants loves from Trent but he's not used to her way of communicating. She comes up and headbumps him and he gets scared and runs away.

Mojo only wants loves from Mommy and sometimes Daddy right now. Cats are for play, humans are for love.
