These breakthroughs and milestones are so heartwarming.
Atta girl JinJin, with the wisdom of the world in your eyes. In your own time and your own way, you're discovering that there are some humans who CAN be trusted and you have the great good fortune to find yourself living with one of them.

It's been a year and half and getting better and better.

It's the little things that count!
Aww...how sweet is that?

I'm sure it's the first of many more
Is Sydney a feral? How did I not know that? They sure are worth the effort, aren't they?

When Pickett came to us, he would hiss and spit at us, sometimes lunging to attack. Other times, he'd just totally hide up in our soc attic (where all of our ex-ferals live right after they come to us).

Well, he came around with us after SEVERAL months of hard work to the point where he'd let us touch him occassionally. Some people, I believe volunteers, were so taken with him that they took him home. 2 years later and I'm happy to report that Pickett is a little lap-hog and loves to be picked up!
Yay for Pickett!
I hope JinJin decides at some point that she would like to try a lap...I have one all warmed up and ready for when, or if, she ever wants to give it a go!

I'm so proud of JinJin. I was a little worried about her back-tracking a little because of Sabina. But she is such a wonderful girl. Yay JinJin.

Actually, if anything, Sabina is helping to push her forward. They're almost always together now, so JinJin copies what she sees Sabina doing. It's very adorable

That shouldn't surprise me. I've noticed that happening with similar stories. Maybe the house-friendly cats just show the timid ones that it is ok.

Kelly that just made my heart soar reading that!
What a great, brave step for JinJin to take! Those thing that we see as little steps, we have to remember are really giant leaps of faith for the ferals in our lives. It took a lot of little steps/giant leaps for Ophelia to get to the demanding Feral Princess that she is today.

That's wonderful progress, Kelly. Getting Sabina was probably the best thing you could have done for JinJin.

Cutie that she is, she jumped in the bed when I was in it last night...sat there for about 5 seconds...decided she wasn't ready...and jumped down.

It really has turned out to be the best thing for her. They love each other, but they also compete with each other, which is good for JinJin.
