My Mom-In-Law gave me these cool black cat cast iron andirons from Plow & Hearth. They have glass eyes, and the eyes glow and flicker when the flames are behind them. Well, the other cats just went up and checked them out; however, Willi was actually SCARED of them! He got down on his belly, crawled up toward them, then recoiled in terror!

What funny things are your cats scared of? Any pics?

8-Bit: My electric tooth brush... it makes him run in terror.

Scratch: Paper bags. He'll get big eyes and a puffy tail.

I guess he doesn't like the noise they make

Velvet is scared of really loud noises and some men

Abilene doesn't like really loud rowdy noises

Jasmine- well she's not scared of much- but she definitely doesn't like it when we chase her around the house with baby wipes and try to clean her butt
(she has some hygiene issues

Patches is scared of everything. Mostly though plastic bags. If you rattle them, she's gone.

All of our cats are afraid of the vacuum..on or off.

My roommate in college had a cat that was afraid of anything leopard print. I would chase him around the apartment with my leopard print purse.

I think I'd be scared, too, if someone chased ME around the house, trying to wipe my butt with ANYTHING!!!

My Jasmine doesn't seem to be afraid of anything--she just hates other cats.

Bathroom fans. Apparently it's a monster in the ceiling coming for her, growling. And so far it's been three different bathroom fans she's scared of.

That and peanut butter.

Duke was terrified of my hampster (RIP) I wouldm put him in his little ball to run around and that made Duke cower under the bed. But Duke is the best mouser I've ever seen.

My super-crazy, human-oriented-to-a-fault little girl is afraid of my friend's 2-year-old son, even though he lives with 6 cats and knows how to handle them.

It's crazy. She's not afraid of anything else in the world!

Mooch is afraid of the Cat Dancer! Noodles loves it, but bring it near Mooch and she gets all tense! Poor baby!

Noodles is more timid around people than things. Neither like the vacuum cleaner.

Well, if she would clean her butt i wouldn't have to chase her around trying to do it for her
She's too fat to reach her rear end
She rolls around like a little rollie polly trying to clean herself
(she's been on a kitty diet and has been seen by the vet to rule out thyroid probs.) / hehe i can definitely see your point though- lol....i guess i'd be scared if someone tried chasing me like a maniac to clean my butt too

Harriet is afraid of the vacuum, of course but also the tub of catnip. If she see's it, she goes a' runnin.

And I too have to chase her down to wipe her butt, but when it actually gets down to it, she likes it. LOL

That made me spit out water.
Scratch doesn't like smelly things and runs from them. I can't think of anything that Squee is scared of yet, although she is wary of the electric toothbrush.
