This weekend, I started my annual re-watch of the Lord of the Rings movies (yeah, I'm a dork
). During one particularly action-filled sequence, it caught Gypsy's attention. She ended up watching the movie with me for about 15 minutes. Now, I've learned the secret-no more cat sitter videos, I'll just put in a fantasy action movie

What strange things do your cats like to watch?

Thats cute!

My fuzzy likes monty python and the holy grail ! haha... he seriously intently stares at the tv when it is on.

Hunny bun seems to pay attention every now and then when cartoons are on and lucky watches video games sometimes.

One time when one of my moms cats were younger and I was a kid there was a priest on tv for some reason or another and the kitty went insane attacking the priests black and white collar.

She just wanted to see what all the fuss what about!

My two are more interested in annoying me rather than watching the tv!

definitely not a dork. They're my favourite movies of all time.

Mosi likes to watch soccer. He gets very excited swiping at anything that moves on the screen. He was very interested in a David Attenborough wildlife programme on the history channel recently too. He couldn't take his eyes off the naked mole rats, although personally I think he's a bit young to be watching nudity on tv.

Molly has a thing for horse racing (and I think show jumping). This past summer when I was watching horse racing (which was a LOT, lol, because of the road to the Kentucky Derby, the Triple Crown, the Alberta stakes races, the road to the Breeders' Cup, etc.), she'd sit down and just keep staring at the tv.

I watched Seabiscuit once and Molly plunked down and watched with me (not for long, though, only about 10 minutes), but I think it was during the section of the movie when the 'Biscuit was racing. Come to think of it, she must have been watching during the Match Race, and then she wandered away after the finish of the race, lol

Jamie rarely watches any more, but he loved the Teletubbies when he was a kitten. Once in a while something (birds, elephantsts, dinosaurs) will catch his attention, and he'll watch for a few minutes.
My sister's cat, Trey, will sit and watch an entire Disney (or other animated) film, but doesn't seem interested in "real life" films or shows. I've also seen him watching the Simpsons.
I'd always figured he was just spending "together time" with the kids, until he had a fit when I turned "Mulan" off because it had stopped raining and the kids had gone back outside. When I put it back on, he sat and watched it.

Watching the robins sing!
When Sophie was a kitten, she was very interested in politics. She spent quite a bit of time watching the Florida recount - I think she was looking for hanging chads. I have some great photos of her watching the recoun on the television. Molly loves the Discovery Channel - anything to do with birds. She stands on her back legs with her paws on the tv screen and chatters at them!

When Davidson & I are cuddling in bed at night, I always watch Nick @ Night, with the good shows like Roseanne, The Cosby Show, Fresh Prince- and I don't know why, but whenever Roseanne is on, he'll lay on my pillow and watch it!
I think its hillarious!

When Mojo first came home, she was entralled by anything on the TV. That has since worn off, though, and playing with anything not nailed down is much more exciting.

The only movie that Ophelia ever watched with us is Desperado. I don't know if it was the explosions or Antonio Banderas, but she watched almost the whole thing with us!
