I didn't know where to post this thread, but...

I'm going to London in march and I always buy something for my cats when I'm away. If there are any englishmen here who can tell me where a big pet shop in central London is, I'm very thankfully!
I've been searching the net, but I don't find any recommodations!

Expensive but worth a visit, their food hall is always interesting too.

I'd agree that if it's central London you're looking at, the only place really is the pet department in Harrods. Most 'utility' shopping (hardware stores, pet shops etc) tend to be out in the far-flung residential boroughs rather than in central London.

There are probably stupidly expensive 'pet fashion boutiques' in places like Chelsea or Notting Hill (the sort that sell diamond studded collars and armarni clothes for your pet!
) but I wouldn't know where to look because that's not the sort of pet shopping I do

So I think Harrods is probably your best bet - a posh catnip mouse would probably go down OK and not cost an arm and a leg

ETA: Yeah also check out the food hall while you're there! And be warned that they have a dress code - no ripped jeans, shorts, sportswear, workclothes, or backpacks

You could try the big TopShop at Oxford Circus - on the ground level they have accessories at the front and then a small home-wares bit at the back. In the home bit they had some quirky pet dishes / collars and things last time I was there - I bought a fish tank DVD for kitties...

Down the road, on Oxford Street, is Urban Outfitters and they also have quirky / kitschy pet things from time to time.

Both places good for clothes too!!

London DHARMA HQ.
Welcome to the bestest city on earth

In terms of gifts then Harrods would be good but I'm sure Selfridges would have pet stuff at a cheaper price

I was going to suggest Selfridges too - they generally have the boxes of CatNip tea bags for an okay price!

I wouldn't recommend buying the £1.50 Felix Stix though as you can get them way cheaper in the supermarket (which would actually be another option!)
