Does anyone have chinchilla persians?

Hello!I was just wondering if someone else here has chinchillas.I own two "furballs" Viola and Vanilla.They are sisters and 11 years old now.At this moment they live at my parents house.I have tomcat Jesperi living with me and my boyfriend. Our currently student flat is too small for 3 cats so I see my other cats only on vocations.I don`t think I will take Viola and Vanilla to live with us because of their age and Viola hates other cats.She is so territorial.Vanilla maybe would not mind at all to have third cat around!
Viola´s and Vanilla´s great grandparent`s are from U.S and I am wondering if chinchilla persian is popular there?

Chinchilla persians are popular in USA as in many places in the world

there are quite a few chinchilla breeders you can find on the net.

the chinchilla is only one veriety out of the larger group of "silver" persians.

in this group you will find the shaded silvers, and silver tabbies. a most interesting chinchilla is the golden chinchilla. these arent too common, but very beautiful.
