My cat's ear was a little swollen and puffy last week. I noticed it felt like there was fluid in it. I'm guessing he must have injured it while playing with one of my other cats. It didn't seem to bother him so I have just been monitoring it. This week most of the fluid and puffiness has gone away, but now I notice that his ear looks kinked. It doesn't stand up straight. Should I be worried? Has this happened to anyone's cat? If so, can I expect that his ear with return to normal?

It could have been badly scratched and could have gotten infected. Luckily it probably didn't, at least not too badly. Always best to check with a vet if there are any odd problems like this. But whatever happened is probably healed by now.

I agree with Jen that it is best to consult the vet. Sometimes an lingering infection can be causing pain. Sending {{{{prayers and vibes}}}} that the condition corrects itself on its own, but at least call the vet anyway - if the cat isn't shaking his head, or frequently scratching, the vet may recommend monitoring.
