I do have sense, and its not hard to control not calling him..I just sometimes feel lonely, and sometimes I wish we could be friends. I know that its too complicated for that with him though.. I have sense

I know how hard it is- i was off and on again for YEARS with my ex call me stupid- but once i meet colin- it was like "duh" the right guy will come along soon sweetheart. Well I can understand where you´re coming from. If you feel lonely and you are getting some attention, even attention that you dont particularly want, well that can feel nice.
All I can suggest is leave his stuff somewhere safe for him to pick up. Then go out yourself. To the gym, to the library, to a coffee shop, anywhere just away from those nagging "temptations"

Just so you don't mistake my previous post. Bad Nat! Bad Bad Bad!!!!

I think people can be friends with ex's but it takes time. Its hard after a long relationship to stop all together, but sometimes a lot of it is just habit. You're so used to being around this person that you feel lost or lonely without them, even if they drove you crazy! My ex and I became best friends about 6 months after we broke up. That gave us both enough time to heal and move on. Of course...8 years later we got married so maybe you should just ignore everything I just said!

And you both have to be in different places in your life ... like both happily involved with other people.

When one is lonely and pining, that's not the time to try and be friends with someone that you were romantically involved with.

Personally I've never remained friends with any of my ex boy friends. I figure we are ex's for a reason and I sure don't want them around me on a daily basis to remind me of why we broke up. I just prefer to make a clean break of it and move on. If in the distant future we happen to run into one another, then I'm cordial, but still have no desire to befriend that person into my circle of friends.
