As some of you know I am getting a new kitty some time in the next month. I just e-mailed his owner and he says that he uses a covered litter box. Is it difficult for a cat to make a transition from covered to uncovered? The ones that I have now are currently uncovered, and I don't really want to switch. Will the new baby have any issues?

I'm sure using an uncovered box won't be an issue, but they might be used to scratching more "vigorously" and kick litter everywhere. Would you want to get your boys used to a covered box? Trust me, you won't regret it

I'm the kind of person who would forget to clean it. Unless it's out in the open, I tend to forget. I don't want my boys being uncomfortable because their meowmy is a bit batty.
