If somebody wanted to give you an "awareness ribbon", which would you choose?

They're listed in this post: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...75&postcount=4 I don't want anybody to think that any sort of "value judgment" would be made here. It's just that I'm tempted to "gift" such ribbons, and wouldn't want to impose on anybody with my own personal beliefs/causes. So, if anybody has special causes they support, and would welcome (an) awareness ribbon(s) for that cause, would you mind posting it/them here, just for reference?

Pink & Blue- a close family friend lost their child to SIDS a few years back

USA- In memory of 9.11
Yellow- Troop support
Purple-Alzheimers
Light Blue- Prostate Cancer in memory of my Grandpa

This is a good idea for a thread! I have wanted to give ribbons but I wasn't sure which ones to give.

I would choose green in support of organ donation.

Now I'm totally bummed out! I thought we could give awareness ribbons, but it apparently doesn't work!!!! I've just ended up adding a red, white and blue one (WTC victims/heroes) to my own "stuff", because the "Give ribbons" didn't allow me to put another user's name. Sorry - that one's for the posters here!

Eventually I'd like to add seven to my collection:

Grey - Brain Cancer, which took the uncle for whom I was named -- I never knew him

Green - Glaucoma, which almost took my Dad's sight -- I make sure to get checked now

Light Blue - Pro Choice

Pearl - Lung Disease, specifically pulmonary fibrosis -- in memory of my Mum whose last years were very short of breath; and for MS -- in support of several friends

Pink - Breast Cancer -- for Tutu, a survivor

Rainbow - for many wonderful Gay and Lesbian friends

Red - HIV/AIDS -- in memory of Wilf and in support of B

Sorry, folks! Apparently we can't give awareness ribbons to others at this point (Duh! I should have checked that out first!), so I'll close this thread. The red, white and blue one I'm displaying is for everybody here, as it stands for victims/heroes!

The one closest to my heart is the yellow for our troops. Other than that it would be the pink breast cancer and other illness related ones. Thoes are pretty close to my heart too.
