I think there are probably several mothers on here so I hope to get some advice.

Sierra has come home everyday for the past week and ran to the potty within minutes of getting off the bus and she doesn't quiet make it to the potty. I asked her if she's been holding herself at school and she said no. But just to be sure I called her teacher and she said sometimes Sierra will just play in the bathroom but for the most part she does go to the potty there.

I've asked her if her parts hurt her and she said no. She's not drinking more fluids than normal. She hasn't been sick. What could be her problem? She's been potty trained for years and this is very abnormal. Any advice?

I'm not here very often so I don't know how old Sierra is. But I am a mother, and the first thing I would do in this situation is take her to a doctor to determine whether or not a medical problem has developed that's causing the problem and then go from there.

in a pile of open toed shoes!
Jazzy would get so sidetracked with whatever (playing, another child, or anything else) that she'd have 1-2 similar mistakes. Can you ask the teacher to kindly instruct her to the bathroom say 5 minutes before getting on the bus? Maybe also to prohibit her from drinking say an 1-2 hrs before school lets out.

We had an incident that was so horrible, I had to wrap her in a trash bag just till we made it home.... all because she wanted to play on the cool jungle gym at burger king....I kept saying "c'mon let's try now" and she'd say no I don't have to go, 5 more minutes ok?

Not a mom, but my sister gets an overwhelming urge to pee every time she is in a moving vehicle, I guess it is like a mild motion sickness and put pressure on her bladder according to what the doc said. She has had it for years and nothing really helped except trying not to drink too much

As far as I know their not given drinks after 9 am. And they go to the potty several times a day. I think the latest is 30 minutes from home time. I'm thinking I should take her to the doc. Though she is never cooperative with them and if they have to look at her parts I know she'll give them a struggle.

I would always get that too when I was younger, and especially in the winter. I would have to run from the bus to my house, and could barely unlock the door before I let it go..I usually made it to the bathroom..lol..

It doesn't hurt to have her checked by a doc just in case. I can tell you that my youngest son use to hold his pee until the very last minute and he would come running inside trying to make it to the bathroom in time. His response as to why he would hold it that long. Because!

Her response is I don't know... Maybe it's a cold thing. I know hubby when he's warm and goes into a cold area fast gets the immediate need for the potty.

I have the same answer that I would if it was your kitty
If this is something that began occuring recently, I would make an appointment with her pediatrician just to be safe. It could be a kidney/bladder problem and you don't want to wait until it gets worse to have it treated. I understand that she may be uncomfortable with an exam, but you realistically can't let that keep her away from the doctor. You might be able to get away with just a urine test at first anyway... if she has an infection it would show up on that and then her 'areas' won't have to be bothered with. Good luck!
