Nikki, with the vomiting and the severe cramping I wouldn't be surprised if you have an ovarian cyst.
Also, when you go off the pill and start back up, it messes with your system, so that could also cause the cramping.
I have Endometriosis, and ovarian cysts, so I have really bad cramping, heavy bleeding, and get a lot of clotts (sorry, not trying to be gross)
I was put on BC when I was 12 to try and regulate my periods, they are never consistant or normal. If I missed a few days I would instantly start having the cramps and heavy bleeding, ect, and that's was just from missing 1 or 2. As soon as that would happen, I would automatically get cysts, that end up rupturing, it can be VERY painful. Recently, I had to go to the ER, I was having severe pain and vomiting, they immediately dosed me with morphine and sent me for cat scans, thinking it was appendix, it ended up being yet another cyst
I was schedulled for exploritory surgery, to see why I have been having such problems and the reocurring cysts (I do not like DR. and blow it off again
) But, this may be what's going on for you, going off the pill for a few days caused your body to create a cyst. (BC helps to keep them away, so if you stop taking it, mabey it caused one?)
I hope you get it taken care of, I am 28, I have been going through this since 12, it is so painfull at times, I wish I could just have a complete hist. and be done with it! So get it taken care of if that is what's wrong! You could be having a virial thing, but I don't usually have the cramping with a stomache bug, just the cysts, but mabey you have a bug too. Good luck dear! I hope they get you in soon!
I wanted to add, They first was also worried about the ectopic (that's the tubal preg. thing, right?) They took blood to test if I was pregnant, when it came back neg. the said they will generally show up in a test even if it was eptopic, so when it came back neg they weren't concerned about that being the problem. I am sure it may not always show up in a pregnancy test, but usually it will.

Thanks for the help!
Endometriosis was ruled out a few years back on me and i have never had ovarian cysts. Not to say that couldn't happen though. I think you're right about the birth control pills- i am usually religious about taking them- but that time i went 3 days without them- (due to the pharmacy, and trying to get ahold of my doc to get my presciption) could have just messed me up a bit- so maybe it's just a combination of that and the virus that's going around. I'm starting to think that's what it is
. I haven't had any bleeding or anything like that so i'm assuming that's a good thing. When the nurse calls back i'll ask about what you said! Thanks for the input
./ Sorry you're having soo many reproductive problems
That is aweful. Hopefully you'll get to feeling better soon

Also, NOT every ectopic pg results in aborting/loosing the baby!!!!

My baby Sister Mollie is the result of an ectopic pregnancy.Mom did have it rough thought I won't lie to you.She spotted and cramped the whole 9 months with her.
Mom found out when she was early and they did surgury to dislodge the embryo before she got to far along.Mom was a Minister, so the question of terminating it was OUT of the question. They told her her chances for a full term pg were slim. But, Mom DID carry my Sister. After she had her, it DID result in a Hyster also.

Omg! Thankyou Tammy!!!!
I am 100% pro life and the thought of having to have a D&C as a result of an ectpoic pregnancy was really scaring me. Thankyou for giving me a little hope
I would DEFINITELY try and do everything possible to save the baby if that was the case
I am glad to hear that it is possible!
/ At this point though- we're pretty definite i'm not pregnant. (so i'm a little bummed out- but i am also excited to see what the future holds
) I am still going to try and get into the doctor on Monday - they're supposed to call me back before they close today. The cramping has almost gone away now
So maybe it was just the virus/bc pill problems!!!!
I'm still gonna have the doctor check me out just to be safe- but they've pretty much eased my mind as far as an ectopic pregnancy goes and have said i'm not.

I also thought i never had cysts! untill i went off the pill!

Last year I had weird discharge and my stomac was cramping, so I went to the doctor just for a check up and she told me that I had burst a very large cyst!

yikes! i'm sorry sweetie- that stinks
i am asking them about the possibilty of an ovarian cyst when they call me back. just to be safe since i've had several people mention that lately. The cramping has stopped for now (thank goodness
) so that's positive

crap- the doctor just called me back
she said they're planning on doing an ultrasound on Monday- she doesn't want me to wait. She thinks it's eithor a cyst or an ectpoic pregnancy
and wants to be sure. so i have to go on monday for an ultrasound and a bunch of tests. this sucks. i was just thinking it was the virus- but she said my symptoms didn't match it

My mom, my grandmom, and all of my sisters have them.

I am jumpin in this thread way late....
If I were you I would take the pee test again. But i am a freak like that. plus..your more likely to get a false negative then a false positive and I know that might brighten your day

I wish you the best of luck and I truly hope you dont need a D&C and its just some cysts goofin around in your baby maken area.

I only wish you could have been pregnant...we'd be soooo close in dates! You'd be my online pregnant pal!

Keep taking care of yourself and when the time is right...WHAMO you'll be puking, feeling sleepy and have huge tender boobs all for the sake of a baby on the way!

My cousin's doctor thought she had an ectpoic pregnancy but after a couple days in the hospital with docs trying to figure out what was wrong with her, the nurse suggested that it could be her appendix and then finally they check that and there was the problem. It was weird.

Anyways, I'm sending you some healing vibes that everything works out and that you get well!

Thanks Erica
I guess i the back of my mind i'm kinda hoping the test is wrong and that i am pregnant (just not ectopic). But that's likely not the case right now. Eithor way you're right....it'll happen sooner or later
Thanks girlie!
The doctor is really convienced it's cysts but won't know for certain till the ultrasound on monday. She's also planning on doing another pregnancy test then just in case.

Nikki, Do you have a heating pad? That is what they always tell me to use, and it does seem to feel better. I wasn't feeling well and went to get mine and thought of you, thought you might want to try it, if your feeling cramps now, or when you do.

so i've got a hot water bottle on my stomach instead
