Thank you for drawing our attention to this.

It sounds like the company leaders are handling it well - not something that always happens. That should at least help reassure their regular customers.

I read the article in the Wall Street Journal. I'm sure I will be getting a call from either my bank or CC company sometime on this!! I was on the DSW list when they had a breach and recently the state of WI sent out 117,000 state tax returns that had SS #'s on them-yes mine was effected too.
Thankfully the state (whom I haven't heard from yet) is handling.
Just to be safe anyone can call one of the major credit bureaus (Trans-Union,Experian or Equifax) and they can put a consumer alert on your file for 90 days.
For Wisconsin residents a state law was just passed that you can put a credit freeze on for $10 per bureau and it stays on until you authorize it (for another $10) to me removed. I might have to consider this.
You can also get one free credit bureau per year by law-the credit bureau's websites tell you how to do this.

If you call any of the three credit companies, they will put a watch on your credit that requires any company about to give credit in your name to call your home telephone to verify it, for free, for I think it's three months?

This happened to me when a child molester stole the university dean's computer with all out academic records on it.

I just saw this on the news. The own a very popular store here called Winners which I shop at frequently.

At least I check our credit card statements, and our bank has been good in the past about flagging suspicious activity.
