What does your ribbon stand for?

I was so happy to be able to buy 2 ribbons this morning! But I was wondering, what does everyone's ribbon stand for? It would be nice, if we could select which cause we want to represent when we buy the ribbon, but it doesn't give us the option.... so, if it's not too personal, what does your ribbon stand for? Which cause do support?

my 2 ribbons are:

lavendar, gynelogical cancer, something I suffered through as a teenager
yellow, military support, in honor of my dad, a retired Lt. Col who has served our country many times.

My yellow one is military support cause you gotta love the men and women who fight for our freedom (even if we dont agree with the reason for the war)

And the USA ribbon is for the men and women who died on 911.

Mine is for the adoptee part mostly (cuz I am one) but also for child abuse because my future nephews have a dead beat mother. Plus, child abuse happens way too often.

I was just happy to buy SOMETHING

I got the gray for Diabetes.

I didn't see one on there for animal shelters and such. They're the paws ribbon.

Awww. pooo!!!!

I decided to "experiment" when I purchased and set the stuff to "hide".

I better go read the instructions to see if I can turn it back on...

I think you can if you go into you user CP menu.

Yep go into edit plaza options. Then you can change if you want everything to be hidden or not!

of the things that the ribbons represent:
Yellow is for our troops, cause like Brandi said, even if we don't support the actual war, we have to support our troops!
Black- for melanoma, of which my Grandma died of almost 17 years ago
Blue- Pro Choice
Orange- Cultural diversity, and even though I'm sure its not Feline leukemia, leukemia was one of the choices
post #26 of 89
My ribbon is
Orchid- Hodgkin's disease. In honor of my brother who is fighting cancer
right now.
I have yellow for our troops, and red and yellow for hepatitis C, which one of my (favorite, but I'm not supposed to admit it) students, an extremely brave and very young man, is suffering from.

my grandma is suffering from Alzheimer's too. But oddly, it has made her nice, instead of the mean hateful person that raised my father, and now, finally at age 57 my dad is able to have some semblance of a relationship with his mother.....

Does she know who he is? My Grandma doesn't have a clue. But she goes out shopping all the time (she never leaves the home) I've found that if I don't laugh about it, I'll have a breakdown
